Tornados north of Louisville

I am in Cincinnati area and we were under a tornado watch and in some cases warnings. A huge tornado went through Southern Indiana north of Louisville. Two towns were wiped out and several people killed. It has been on the news all afternoon. They were headed East. Hope everyone on here is all right. I am not sure how close any of you are to where they came through. They had people trapped in Moscow Ohio. The weatherman said this may be a hint of what is to come this Spring.

:twitch: :(

I saw some of this on the news.
Thoughts and prayers are with those folks. :plead:
I imagine shelters/humane societies may be getting an
influx of pets too if families have been left homeless.

Stay safe! We are in Marysville, N/W of Columbus and the wind is whipping things around like rag dolls here. I don't like Spring for this very reason...
I just heard about a Marysville that was wiped out and I freaked out thinking of Lori (Abuckie) John, and Max. -- but I reversed on DVR and I think this town was in Indiana. Still horrible. What a nightmare. I hope everyone in our forum family is ok . . .
I did the Marysville double-take too! 8O

Bad stuff happening. I heard one reason was that we have no snow cover and the southern flow is able to go north further than normal.

We got many calls last night from family and friends, that heard the Marysville reference, and thought of us. It was Marysville Indiana that was hit hard. SOO very sad. Thanks for your concern, and thinking of us.
Henryville In is completely gone - there is nothing left, 13 lives lost, homes, schools, and businesses lost. A baby was found thrown in a field, identity unknown, and taken to a Louisville children's hospital. Henryville is less than 20 miles north of my office and 30 miles from my home - businesses and universities were closed in Louisville at 1 yesterday so we could all take shelter. The storm literally went around Louisville and headed south where it touched down killing at least 14 people, destroying homes, businesses, etc. Even Olive knew something was not right with the emergency sirens going off and the high winds shaking the earth. Kentucky is in shock this morning as well as Indiana. However, because of the tremendous outpour of volunteers, the authorities have told us to stay home so the roads are kept clear for the Red Cross, emergency personnel, etc. People's coping skills have got to be in first gear, it is so much to take on for all of those suffering.

Please pray for the people effected by these deadly storms in Kentucky and Indiana - this was very close to home and certainly makes me very thankful for what I have -
Way too close (we had one 1 mile from us, it IS scary!!) and thank goodness you are OK.

I have been watching the news coverage and it looks like a huge mess and a true disaster. :( :(
I am so glad that you are all right Lori and Sheepie2 and Got Sheep. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who were not so lucky. One of the first things I thought of while we were in the basement for a while was if all of you were all right.

A few years back a tornado went through and destroyed many homes. I was teaching at Sycamore then and a former student lost both of his parents and his home. He was away at college. They had an Old English Sheepdog that was shown on the news who survived. Their Vet recognised the dog and took him and cared for him until the son was able to. Many friends had badly damaged homes. Mother nature can really pack a punch. I just hope we don't have a bad spring as they are predicting.
Glad everyone is OK. Stay safe.

I did too.
So glad to hear everyone is alright so far. The tornados are big news here too. Your Canadian friends are thinking of you and hoping you and your families are safe.

Take care
so pleased everyone on her is ok. But so sad for the families that are involved...xx
