This is a first!!!
 Feb. 29th and the air conditioner is running.Woke up today and it was muggy and stuffy an HOT--I think we got up to 76 degrees today and that was with severe thunderstorms all day. Supposedly a 'cold front' came through--but right now it is 67  The storms were bad today--two people died in a county just northwest of us when their homes collapsed from the wind--not even a tornado. It is going to be a looooong spring and summer. This is the 4th round of severe storms already and we expect more this weekend. I just cannot stand hot muggy weather in Feb. so I guess the air conditioner will run as long as it stays this way. I am so darn annoyed-- Give me a big snowstorm and a cold crisp day and I am a happy girl! |

| That is just nasty...it was bad enough with a full day of rain and mid-30's for temps. At least with that the furnace runs and it takes the humidity out. That storm was bad news when it passed by us too. From Nebraska on east it did damage. |
| It has been the strangest winter, and I worry about spring too. We had two funnel sightings yesterday around our area, and we NEVER have tornados this far south. |
