Sheepiepalooza--when are you getting there?

Last year we got there Friday afternoon and left Sunday afternoon. I'm thinking of doing the same this this year. When are YOU arriving and leaving?

Arriving on Thursday around 12-1 PM.
Leaving VERY early Monday morning.
This year we are going to come in on Thursday afternoon and leave Monday morning. We have always arrived on Friday and left Monday. This year were were supposed to be on another trip but cancelled to attend Sheepiepalooza--David had already requested the extra time off--so we thought we would go early and do something fun on Friday before everyone else begins to arrive. He is hoping that there will be a Cardinals game on Thursday night--haven't checked the schedule though.
we'll get there Thursday evening and leave Monday morning. Sooooooooooo ready for a weekend away!!!!!!! (with NO 2 legged kids) :clappurple: :clappurple:
Our plan is to head down Friday morning and back Monday morning. We missed dinner on The Hill last year and won't make that mistake again.

Very smart decision!!!!! YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!!!!!

:potstir: :potstir: :potstir: YUMMMMMMMYYYYY!!!!!
Just got off the phone with David (he is out of town)--he looked and there is a Cardinal's game on Thursday night--they play the Phillies--he is buying a ticket and wanted me to put it out there if anyone would like to go with him.

He hasn't been to that Stadium so he is excited about going--I will stay with the boys so I won't go with him--

anyone???
We'll be arriving Friday if all goes well. But, there is a small possibility we can't get there until the picnic on Saturday :?

I haven't sent my forms in yet, but we still have time, right? :?:
I'm planning on driving down on friday and thinking about entering a dog show on Friday in Bloomington. I go right by there on my drive down on I55. Bloomington is about an hour and 30 minutes from my house and from there it would be about another 3 hours to St. Louis.

I might change my mind by then but for now..... :lmt:

Cindy
I should get there about 5-6pm on Friday, and leave for home sometime Monday morning.
My alternate plan would be to leave really early Friday morning to get there earlier.
We'll be caravaning from NY along with Mark, so we'll get there Thursday afternoon as well. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

We are planning on leaving Florida on Thursday so plan to arrive in The Loo on Friday. (17 hr drive). This will be our first year at Sheepiepalooza so are so excited. I still have to send in my forms, which I'll mail this weekend.
We will arrive on Thursday afternoon and depart on Monday morning. So eager to see everyone again, and meet new friends :excited:

Charm will be a coiled ball of energy that afternoon, and thats before she sees all of her friends 8O Any thoughts on unwinding the pups?
Could we use the dog park on Thursday afternoon before dinner?

Would there be any of the St. Louis gang available to hang with us on Thursday?
I'm flying since it's a long drive and I am not bringing my 4 legged baby. She doesn't travel well - even just to the vet. I figure there will be enough sheepies that someone will be happy to lend me one for the weekend.

So I'm thinking of coming in Friday around 5 -6 and leaving Sunday afternoon. I have never been to Sheepiepalooza so would I be missing anything important because I can always change Sunday to Monday?

I'm so excited for this. I will be sending my forms in soon.
We will get there Thursday afternoon. Plans are like last year...one night in Atlanta going up and down. It is a long trip for us... But soooooo worth it!

Is there anyway you could get in a little earlier on Friday? We do a meet-and-greet at the hotel, then dinner, then go to the dog park.
And on Sunday, we do the paddle boats in Forest Park, then onto lunch at Central West End, then the dog park, and then dinner in Val's neighborhood, which is known as "The Hill", a small Italian enclave within St. Louis. The meal there last year looked great from the pics posted and I missed it. I regret not staying till Monday morning last year.

So arrive in St. Louis on Friday at about 3-4 PM and take off Monday morning. That's my recommendation.

Sooner and longer if possible like Mark mentioned. We missed all the Friday activities last year, and I regretted it. But whatever works best for you and at least you are coming  :yay:
Okay, I'll try and work around that schedule. I can definitely leave on Monday and we will see how Friday works out.

Thanks for the helpful advice
Ours is pretty much the same every year. Leave home and arrive Friday and drive home Monday.

The only difference is I'm REALLY going to try to get my butt in gear and leave a little earlier.

I also have "on hand" the sleeping pills for both dogs...last year I swear Gar was going to drive me nuts with eight hours of whine, whine, bark, bark etc.

This is what I want to see on the way down and back

Hahaha, he does look like the angel there :hearts:
Mark & I and Howie plan on arriving Friday late afternoon and leaving Monday morning.
:yay:

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Okay, now I'm rethinking stopping at the dog show on the way down unless it's a early show time like 10am or so. I'd like to be there in the afternoon for the meet and greet!

Cindy
We just made our reservations. We will arrive sometime Friday night. We will be heading home Monday morning. I am really looking forward to it.

We are ALL going to have soooo much fun~~~~~~~

The horrible thing about Sheepiepalooza Weekend is that it FLIES by so quickly~~~

But in between arriving and departing it will be

ALL ABOUT OUR SHEEPDOGS!!!24/7!!!!!

:hearts: :hearts: :excited: :yay: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

Mark, I doubt I will be available on Thursday so the dog park is out since I am the only actual member of the dog park and need to be present whenever the "guests" are using it.

There is a nice grassy area next to the hotel, though it is not fenced.
Oh. OK.

Well, there is a free dog park in St. Charles and one in Wentzville if we find we NEED to get to a dog park.

Carol--we are heading over on Thursday this year --maybe we can hook up in Nashville and go the rest of the way together!
Great idea Brenda.....With so many Sheepiecars caravaning from all directions...

It would be great to get a picture of all of you converging on St. Louis~~~

Impossible...but it would be an eyepopping pic!!!! :excited:
