Val, I think you're right in that quality check is in order. Maybe at this point you should start a monthly check until May.

I totally agree!!! :high5: :high5: :high5: Just let me know when, and I'll be there.
Will one of you please sample the antipasti salad?? I've been dreaming of it since last year. How many more days?????
Oh can't wait to go back!! Wonderful food and even better company!! :D
Thanks Val! I am drooling now! Can I come up now and help with the tasting?
MORE DOG TORTURE!!!!

HOW can all of you sick and twisted people even think of doing this again??? A whole evening the tables groaning under the weight of all that delicious Italian food for the uprights only while all those poor sheepdogs have to sit around drooling and staring at all that food they can't eat!

HOW TERRIBLE!! :twitch: :twitch: :twitch:

I believe the SPCA should be called!!
HA...I have two sheepdogs that tasted it...whenever we weren't watching close enough. They gave it the deal of approval.
so do most people leave out on Monday then? We had made our reservations for the hotel Thurs-Sunday, but after seeing this I changed them for Thurs-Monday. :clappurple:

Looks yummy- looking forward to trying it. :D

I think most of us with longer drives start out fresh :D , on Monday. Some live a couple hours or so and leave Sunday.
I've also used Monday as a separate tourist day as well, leaving around noon to head home.
Thanks- Ours will be about an 11 hour drive, thats why we are coming in on Thursday so we have all day Friday to enjoy. Luckily my kids are out of school on Friday and Monday so I dont have to worry about finding them rides. This worked out pretty well for us. :D
We are coming from the Chicago area...driving down Friday morning and back home Monday. Hotel Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
And for those that aren't big pasta lovers, I heartily recommend the lamb chops and mint sauce...HEAVEN!

wow Dawn that DOES look Yummmmyyy~~~ That is one dish I never tried...need to fix that...

The Scampi is to die for too!!!! and the mussles as an app. in a spicy red sauce. OR a full stuffed artichoke.....mouth watering good!!!!!!!

If you can stay for the Gian Tony's dinner on Sunday, then do!~~~The HILL (my neighborhood) is noted for the most 5-6 star rating restaurants with in about a 12 block area......

where is a yummy emoticon????? :potstir: :potstir: I'll just use this one....
When I came last year, I left Syracuse at about 4AM EDT Thursday morning and got in to St. Louis somewhere between 5-6PM CDT.
I had to stop in Columbus, OH to get Zeke.
So I got the room for Thurs, Fri, and Sat night. I left Sunday afternoon after the paddleboats so that I could be home on the Monday after.

I did NOT get to try Gian Tony's. And I regret that. I want to see how it compares to the Italian restaurants here in Syracuse. And there are a lot of them as this area was settled by a lot of Italians. Plus. I'm Italian, so I know a thing or 2 about good Italian food.

This year, I'm thinking I'll get in Thursday afternoon and I'll leave very early Monday morning. It's about a 14 hour drive as I have to get/drop off Zeke.
Mark, so happy that Zeke gets to attend this year. Staying over for dinner is so worth it. (still needing the 'Yummy' emoticon).
We are coming on Thursday also. Seems like several of us will be there, maybe an informal gathering?

Hey! We arrived on Thursday last year! We came for the tornado but stayed for the cheap booze!

I'll probably do dinner with some of the guys I worked with at the Chrysler plant on Thursday evening, but I won't be gone that long for that.
Sounds good. As we get closer to time, we will have a better idea of Thursday night attendees. We can't wait!
I forgot all about the tornado 8O None are ordered for this year.
David, the cheap liquor alone, is so worth the trip!!
I am pretty sure we are coming in on Thursday as well this year. Made the reservations for Thursday - Sunday. Would love to get together and do something fun with those that are there. Thought it might be fun to have an extra day this year! :D
I'd certainly be up for hanging out after I come back from dinner on Thursday.
It probably wouldn't be too late. Probably like around 7 PM.

Mark that sounds great--we probably won't get in on Thursday until around 4 or 5 --so after 7 would be perfect!
Val, I agree with you, we need to make sure that the food is ok for all the guest out of town, just give me a couple more weeks to recuperate and, just tell me when and what time.

We need to get everything right for e :wag: :wag: :wag: verybody!!!
Val,
Sounds like a great idea! Can't wait! :D
