Exercise for 13 weeks old puppy

Finally we are cleared by vet to visit Great Outdoors.
Today Frothy had her last set of puppy shots.

So we walked today twice for approx 20 minutes. After that I had sweetest tired puppy ever :)

So, here is the question: how much exercise is not too much for a young pup?
We plan four or five 30min walks daily? Is it too much?
She seems to be very excited about our walks.

Thank you!

We were told you should not let them run around alot until they are 12 months old. Due to the fact about there hips
The rule-of-thumb that we follow is 5 minutes of exercise (up to twice a day) per month of age. So at 3 months old, about 15 minutes twice per day, at 4 months it'll be 20 minutes, and so on. Plus, she's going to get lots of exercise playing (and having the occasional FRAP). You just want to be careful not to overdo during that critical first year or so of growth. :)
Walking is fine, she'll let you know if you overdo it, but I find that free exercise is actually the best at this age. Helps if they have a play mate to run with them though. Is she an only dog?

We always let the kids tell us when they were tired. Easy. They flopped down and demanded to be carried home  So we learned their tolerance quickly. Carrying a baby is easier than a 4 month old. I like the 5 minutes 2x a day per month age.....plus freetime.
Hello Fuzzy- What part of Texas are you from? Im in Denton, north of Dallas.

We are from Houston, but Frothy, actually, is from Dallas area. Longview or something like that.

This puppy is never tired, unless really really tired.

Yes, she is alone and we have a backyard as well with balls, toys, chews. Since all shots are done, we'll get her play with friends puppy, who is couple weeks older, but smaller in size. They live next street.

Exactly... that's why I asked the question!!!! :)

But it seems to me that running around the house furniture may be even more dangerous than walking.

Yes, thank you everybody! We'll keep it reasonable.
Playing with another puppy is good. Walks are good too. :D

I don't know if you watched the Puppy Camp stuff I just had up this past week? My pup has been going to a special daycare with other puppies. It's 9am to 4pm, with a 1.5 hour nap (crated) time over the noon hour.
They learn to pace themselves...and I'm lucky I have a pup who just lays down and naps when he needs it.
He is 4 months old now - and the camp is for pups at least 10 weeks and up to 6 months. Watching them on the web cams, it was really fun to see the play and rest cycles they all go through! They all had a really good time :D :D

At home, he plays with my adult dogs, goes to obedience class when I teach twice a week ; and works for little 10-15 minute sessions at each. Also we go on about mile walks with my family and their dogs a few times a week as well.

Gauge your activity by how your puppy does, and of course use common sense.
We always avoid things that cause impact - no pavement or cement surface playing, no jumping besides little stuff in playing, and we happen to have no stairs here (well we have a 2nd floor, but it's not used at the moment!)
Dawn,
that's incredible activity schedule for the pup.
We are starting obedience class next week as well.
Besides, somebody is at home most of the day with pup to take her for walks and play.

As for stairs... we moved to the first floor with puppy now, but desperately looking forward to get back on normal bed out of the sofa. When do you think it's ok for puppy to walk the stairs couple time a day?

I still plan to block staircase in the daytime free roaming routine.
