Teething and Diarrhea

When my kids were little and teething they would often have diarrhea at the same time. Has anyone ever seen a relation between dogs teething and diarrhea, the reason I'm asking is that Max has had diarrhea since yesterday afternoon, and he also is in the middle of intense teething, he's lost some teeth and his gums are showing bloody areas. I did give him some treats yesterday that he doesn't usually have (really junky ones)and maybe that has given him the runs, I will not give him anymore junk food treats, that's for sure!!

It is probably the treats, I doubt it has anything to do with teething.
I would give him some rice, or the rice water diet posted somewhere, you can also try some pepto bismol.... many suggest immodium, and it worked well on Dancer, but I later found out oes can be sensitive to it, so I'm not sure I would recommend that, or if you do try it watch him carefully for any reaction.
I definitely think it was the treats, they are called pup-a-roni, and they are disgusting twisted cheesy/beef treats, I've renamed them POOP-A-RONI!! Anyway, it's been a fun day, besides the runs, Max lost 3 puppy teeth today!
LOL Sky lost all her puppy teeth at once because her and Dancer were playing tug of war.... alllll the teeth gone at once looked gross, but they all grew back in fast too....lol
It's kind of weird to find tiny little teeth in unusual places  And no tooth fairy :(
Thank goodness no tooth fairy for dogs! The kids are all so close in age we almost went broke because of that silly tooth fairy!!! LOL For a while it seemed every day at least one kid lost a tooth, sometimes 2 or 3 of the kids on the same day! LOL
One of my kids wiggled out one that wasn't even close to ready because he wanted money for a pack of cards.
It's been a long time since I had a puppy and when I first found a tooth, I freaked out-- I thought one of the dogs pulled a claw out or something because it was so tiny, it didn't look like a tooth to me! Then poor Lucy had blood all over her and I realized that it was in the same spots where Clyde was biting and I figured it out. I'm not always so smart.
Yes, I agree, I'm glad there is not a canine tooth fairy, my kids are very closely aged as well, and we've had all 3 of them loose teeth on the same day, that was an expensive night for the tooth fairy. Max is on a roll, I have 4 of his teeth now, and I don't think he's done! I'm just glad that his sharp little puppy teeth are not in his mouth anymore
ok i have a max too and he is teething and has the poops so what do you think the problem is?????? would like to know
They can get a bit loose (not diarreah) with teething, the inflamation & swelling on the gums and the new teeth making there way through.

Just be very careful with what you are feeding at this time to help keep the stool firmer. Add some rice to the feed as it helps firms up the stool.

Personss I definately think it was the treat, no more of them
Puppy Tooth Fairy LIVES..... he left dog biscuits under the boys pillows last night- we were ALL SHOCKED (heehee) this morning !!!
