Peeing in Sleep?

I have a 9 week old sheepie. She's peeing in her sleep and waking up wet on one side. She's a very active dreamer, I don't know if this is why she does this. Has anyone seen this? Is it a concern?

9 weeks? Oh she's still a baby!! Don't expect perfection until 12-16 weeks......longer for boys. Her brain and pee button haven't quite connected, takes time, those exciting dreams get in the way.

some puppies aren't fully developed at 9 weeks, and can't hold it even if they knew how. I'd mention it to your vet to be safe. My girls came to me from my horrid back yard breeder with very bad urinary tract infections, and it was causing symptoms like what you are describing. So I'd mention it to your vet, just to be safe.
Good point Allison. A UTI might be to blame, easy for the vet to check. At such a tender age a UTI might indicate some malformation.......no need to panic......just a very minute outside chance.

Since it seems only at dream time, I wouldn't worry yet.
Are you making sure to take her out during the night? They still can't hold it the entire night. I know, as I have a puppy now myself. I am soooo tired!
I'm waiting to crate train until she's older, she's doing this just while asleep on the floor. I'll just bring it up with the vet when she gets her shots this week. Thank you all for the comments.
She did have a urinary tract infection! Poor thing...

She LOVES the vets office. She was too busy eating the hartworm cookie to notice she got a shot. She didn't want to leave, and sat on the floor and I had to carry the 20lb 10 week old puppy out.

This was her at 8 weeks.
omg she is not seeing the cat she is a cutie
so cute! I'm sorry it was a UTI, but to be honest, its an easy fix and a better diagnosis than something more serious. Now you can get back to potty training!!! :clappurple:

My feelings exactly!
Good thing you noticed the problem and got her in. Give her a few days and she will be feeling much better. :D :D
