I literally cannot believe what just happened

I'm speechless..

We've been having a tough time with toilet training George, he didn't seem to realise we liked it if he went outside and was completely indiscriminate, he'd purposely go inside to pee and we were ready for a tough journey.

Just now, I was in the next room and he was running around restless, and I could hear jingling that didn't sound like any of his toys, and just outside his room is where we hang the keys so I thought he'd somehow managed to get a key (impossible) or was hitting something that was moving keys...

So I went into his room and realised he was hitting the keys at his back door... he'd been jumping up at the back door...

So I went outside with him (he doesn't like going out by himself) and said to myself if he pees now... and so he did. I was flabbergasted!!!!!

I know we still have a long way to go and it could've been coincidence but WOW he seemed to make the decision that he needed to pee outside and waited until I came to let him out there. Maybe I've accidentally bell trained him with the keys instead of bells

 need to try and remember to bring treats out with me so I can treat him when he does pee outside. I just got a clicker and am seeing how he does with that.
