MORE good news for Kristy!

Hi everyone,

More good news for Kristy!

We just received the biopsy report back on a cyst/growth/tumor we had removed
from her neck last Friday. It was done the afternoon before the bloat episode which
happened early Saturday morning. The biopsy results could not be better!
It was an apocrine (sweat glands) cyst which was benign and it was completely excised.
She's had a small cyst on the side of her neck for several years and we had been advised
to leave it alone unless it changed. It changed rather suddenly a few days prior to having it removed. It doubled in size from 3/4 in. to 1-1/2 inches and appeared to fill with fluid.
hat incision ls about 3 inches long and is healing very nicely. Her abdominal incision
from the bloat surgery also looks great and she is eating well, full of energy and as of this morning she seems almost back to her normal level of energy and enthusiasm!
Now the interesting part will be keeping her (fairly) quiet for the next two weeks as
she continues to heal. Thanks again for keeping her in your thoughts!

If I can figure out how to post pictures this weekend, I'll post a picture of Kristy that
I took 3 weeks ago, just after her last bath.

:cheer: :cheer: Great news! :cheer: :cheer: I know cysts, in humans, are full of fluid too and can grow and then dexrease in a few weeks...I happen to have such a thing on my ovaries  But mine too has to come out in the next week or so

So glad Kristy is doing so well...And yup, we hear you on keeping them calm...My female, Bella, just hurt her leg today and they want me to keep her calm a few days...Yeah, right...I will try though because I know more exercise means longer healing time...

Continuing to send good thoughts your way for continued healing :ghug:
