Have tried contacting the shelter via phone and e-mail. Also have a volunteer in the area.

Will keep everyone posted!

Thanks,

Nita

I wasn't sure if she was a mix or just wet and shaggy!

Thanks for checking, Nita!
Still trying but no response so far. Will keep trying to reach local volunteers.
One of our volunteers that lives in Bloomington will see what he can find out about Maggie tomorrow. He has established a good rapport with the facility over the years and will provide temporary care for her if they release her to rescue.

Also have contacted several potential adopters in the area in hopes that we can get her out of the shelter as quickly as possible. Continue thinking positive thoughts for Maggie!
great job again everyone!!!

The shelter called this morning and told me more about Maggie. She was originally adopted from their facility as a puppy which would make her around 3 yrs. old now. They aren't sure she's an OES since she's so curly but she is gray and white, cute and very sweet. She has a full tail, too. :aww:

They also have several adoption applications for her already so chances are they won't need rescue assistance. Our volunteer is still going to visit her today and see her and if there's any chance she's in danger, which there doesn't appear to be, he will be fostering her. :go:
Very good news!

She sure looks like a cutie :D
Sweet baby~~~ Hope she gets her forever home real soon!!!

Maggie's new forever home may need the help and advise of this good Forum, as she sure does look an OES with a curly coat and tail.

Our Jade was a Rescued dog at 8 ish who was going to be put to sleep though no fault of her or the two boarder collies dogs she lived with, there vet got in touch with Boarder collie Rescue who ofen have OES who are rescued, our name was on there list

Her coat was curly and she was my 1st Sheepie with a tail (its just a bit more to love) but I still would love sheepies without the tail.
at 1st I had to keep touching the tail as it fasanaicited me and grooming it was a whole new adventure and timeing,
