Who has the tallest sheepie??

It is a little random but i thought it would be really interesting to find out who has got the biggest sheepie!! Measure sheepie from shoulder height down to the floor...

BLOO IS 9 MONTHS OLD AND HE IS 25 INCHES TALL FROM SHOULDER TO FLOOR! HE WEIGHS AROUND 58LB!
I AM 5FOOT 4INCHES AND HE COMES TO MY HIP

We are kind of hoping he will stop growing up and start bulking out muscle wise now!! :D
How tall can oes grow to?? People keep asking me `when will he stop growing?` I havent a clue but beside the great dane that lives up the road bloo is the 2nd biggest dog in the block!!
People often mistake him for being adult, then they ask how old then they get a shock LOL :P

Just remeasured and it's just like before. ...exactly 27"
Thanks for that, always wondered how tall one could grow. I thought bloo was tall!! :twitch:
Sues Bailey is a horse....he is at least 30'' at the shoulder.....
Violet is 26" and 70lbs
got all of you beat dreamer is 33 at the shoulder
When Jack wakes up I'll measure but I think he's about Dreamer's size. Big boy. MO is on the other end.
Archie is 28" or 71cm at the shoulders and 106 lbs or 48 kg when last weighed.

He's now 4 year 5 months

He was already 48lbs or 22 kg at 4 months when he got us.
Zoey is 3 1/2 years old and weights about 85 and measures 26" tall.

Caitlyn is eight months next Thursday and we don't have an accurate weight on her. She stands 23" tall.

Yep, Dreamer beats Jack by a couple of inches. I'm impressed. I know Jack has shrunk--flatter on feet or something, but no way he has shrunk 3 inches.
My boy is the freak!!!!!!!!
He is 32" at withers!
Tall boy
Simon is official...I had to have him measured for agility...my petite little boy is 23.5". Never would have believed that if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. Gar is a few inches taller than Simon.
Willy is not quite 3 and is 29 inches at the withers... big giant doofus

Be intresting to see the rest of that family line - you aren't feeding him on radioactive dog food are you? :excited:
:twitch:

some of you have some TALL dogs... cripes, I wonder how tall George will be!
There was a pup at Sheepiefest that was super tall. I can't remember whose it was though. :lmt: :lmt: About the same as Kathy's!!! :high5:
Keep in mind guys, these really tall dogs are mostly rescues, and the products of BYB's and puppy mills. :(

Wow! any recent pictures? I think Langley is for sure the lil brother. Now I am curious, when I get home I am pulling out the tape measure. He is probably 1 inch shorter than Laika. But they both weigh 80 lbs. Nice compact guy for sure.

Actually....http://www.oldenglishsheepdogclubofamer ... =OESCA.dbw
If you are not familiar with this search you an click on each name and it also gives that pedigree 8) 8)

It is quite interesting, if you search waaaaaaaaaay back

I don't know of any dog that we have had in rescue that can be traced back this far, even if we have the parents names that is typically as far as it goes.
Yeah, Jack at 30 inches was a rescue.......BYB pumping out big, poorly formed dogs down by El Paso. Rescue lady here has a girl from that "family" tall, deaf, and crappy hips. At least Jack can hear........

This breeder is finally done here in NC, for a while anyway!
They ended up surrendering the last two of their OES to rescue BUT, not long ago their daughter called me needing to surrender her female :(
We were going to take her but, she found her a home up North :x Hope she was spayed first but, somehow I bet not :x
Quite amazed that there is no wolf hound in that history considering his height!

That is what our old vet used to say
Marty would get so mad  I could care less either way :high5:
I think trying to not count the fur. Laika is 26 inches and Langley is 24 inches maybe little less. Both weigh the same.
having had a wolfhound, it has crossed my mind a few times.....like with each steal from the counter. Jack has never been able to run so couldn't judge his gait, his head is long like a wolfhound.
