It may be a good way of avoiding having to do it!

Jim had gotten a little snow blower and I mocked him... called it his putt-putt machine because you can pick it up and put in on the deck and blow snow there too. Well, eat my words... I love that thing! I blew snow this afternoon and now the dogs have a nice race track and potty area.

We got dumped on today. It was a good day for play and also a pot of doggy stew. I was closely supervised while I cut up fresh veggies. 8)

Doggie Stew?? Tell us more?? Lovely snow pictures, all lovely if they aren't here!
Love the snow pics--the doggy stew sounds marvelous and...I wish I had some snow to blow!

We had severe thunderstorms and tornadoes today the tornado sirens blared for an hour   If i didn't have a calendar I would think it was April!!
Practice makes perfect. When we lived in Michigan, I did all the snowblowing.. I know Dawn is going to find this hard to believe, but I did. I was so happy to give our snowblower away to our son when we headed for sunny Florida. We left for Florida on March 3rd and arrived on March 4th. Shortly after we left, they got hit with a huge snowstorm...didn't leave too soon. March is notorious for a lot of snow storms in Michigan.
Years ago when Carl was on the road all the time I snow blowed when the kids weren't around to do it.

For Christmas I asked for an electric start for the blower and I got it. Made life much easier.
At our house, Todd plows with the tractor, and I do the hand shoveling.

Haven't started up the tractor to plow once this winter, and shoveled only a couple times. Weird!

I used to just throw it all in a pot and cook it without added seasonings... vegetables, whatever meat was in the freezer and a grain or starch. I cook the vegetables separately now so Bumble can have them too, then add the meat at mealtime.

Mrs. J... Kobuck only get apples... NO carrots at all... never, ever...for that little buckaroo!

Are everyone's dogs vegetable crazed? Brussels sprouts cooking here bring dogs from all four corners of the house.

Lucky! :D Ours has a pull start. It a pickle to start the first time of the season.
Back in 2000 when I had the first of THREE hernia surgeries, we bought a BIG dual stage snow blower so I would risk ruining the surgery results. That turned out to be an insurance policy as it only snowed twice that winter. It's gotten a workout in the eleven years since though... It too is an electric start, but it always starts on one pull. Having grown up in Iowa, I REALLY like this big beast. It beats shoveling our long, sloped drive.

My arms are short and I had a devil of a time getting it started by pulling. Ended up waiting for my son to get home to start it for me.
