New puppy!!!!!!

Ok, we got our new puppy May 1, and I have resisted telling everyone about her--but I am not perfect. Instead of the urge to brag fading, it's just getting stronger!!!!

She is a female and her name is Bijoux. She's an all white head with a black saddle and a small strip of white on her spine, with strong white legs, and she has the most insightful, loving blue eyes. Phew! that feels better already.

She had a heck a time in her crate the first week (at nights), but is already sleeping through the night without an accident!!! She is so playful and very caring with our kids. If one of them is upset, she goes to check on them.

Now if I could only learn to transfer the hundreds of pics I've taken from my camera to the computer, I would feel much better. Thanks for the catharsis forum members.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! PICTURES PICTURES WE LOVE PICTURES :D
Sheepie Love is kinda like the need to brag it just get stronger and stronger and stronger. No need to apologize here! Brag away. We love to hear sheepie stories and brags (and did I mention we love pictures???). Welcome.
We need pictures. Congrats on your new puppy. We need pictures. Bijoux (love that name) sounds like a sweetie. Did I mention we need pictures? Enjoy your pup! And why wouldn't you want to brag?

Brag away :D Did anyone mention pictures to you
Bijoux..is that pronounced something like Beee--zooo(shoe)

I love the name, and my cousin had a budgie with that name I think it means something like beautiful or pretty...I'll have to ask her.

Congratualtions, and we look forward to getting to know her.
Since I have to depend on the kindness of my breeder to send me pictures until I get my furbaby, I'm going to depend on you to post pictures of yours, okay??! : ) I think someone mentioned we need PICTURES already??!
Happy puppy days!!

Cathy........When I was waiting for Tasker (I put a deposit on him when he was just a couple weeks old) I left a disposbale camera with the breeder. She took a picture of him every couple of days. When I picked him up I picked up the camera and I had a really neat record of his growth. Of course now a days with the internet and digital cameras it's a lot easier to get pictures.

I'm sure you are anxiously waiting, enjoy our pictures til you have pictures of your own :D
That disposable camera idea is GREAT! But with our breeder, I think it's just a matter of having the time to line up the puppies and take the pics! I know they take pictures daily and eventually, I'll have a full set of "Walt" from day one, but probably not untill after he's here and the others are in their new homes. They currently have two 1 year olds that they show, the puppy mama, 1 retired show girl, the six puppies, a pet OES (only say that to distinguish from "full coat", these guys are all "family" members and treasured!), a daughter (jr. handler) in high school and they work full time! YIKES...good thing they're young and their parents live very close by and do the "puppysitting" while they're at work!! LOL! Talk about hectic! It exhausts me to think about their schedules! Not to mention my bombarding with visits from my husband and friends : ) who also take pics and video! It's been a loooooooooong time since we had a puppy in the house and I'm too excited! Mid June.......and counting! Did I mention they have a Yorkie, too??! LOL!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, to be YOUNG again (less tha 50!!!!!)!! I have a 10 week old maltese puppy which has been home for two weeks. My advice to you is to get LOTS of sleep before Walt comes home. I haven't had a good nights sleep since Ty arrived!!! I forgot how it felt to be a bleary eyed new mother.
After many years of practice, I easily get by on 4 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period and NOT all at once. : ) Good thing, right??! The puppy training with every two hours "out" should be easy on my current schedule. Over 50 and exhausted has become a way of life! LOL! I'm very much used to catching naps on the couch and will be moving into the downstairs parlor for the puppy. My guys are used to sleeping downstairs on these special occasions, be they a "new addition" or one of them ill and needing 24/7 care. My husband was SUPPOSED to be here for the big event, but it looks like he'll be off teaching on a Maritime Academy cruise...again! Poor guy has to go to Lahaina, HI; Suva, Fiji; Noumea, New Caledonia; Brisbane, Australia; Auckland, New Zealand; Rarotonga, Cook Islands; and Honolulu, HI. I can NOT imagine his choosing that over puppy training, can you???! : )
Broken in, old, tired and totally puppy prepared!
Cathy
4 HOURS??? 8O I'd be a zombie!!! I neet 8 hours of straight sleep or feel like I'm in a fog (I'm in a fog most of the time these days). POOR HUSBAND, won't be home to share in the joy, who did he bribe?? :D
LOL!! THAT's EXACTLY what I asked him!! He's still pondering how to answer that and not get into deeper trouble! Smart man!
Cathy
Bijoux sounds adorable! Congrats!
Thanks for all your good wishes! She is now 10 1/2 weeks old and sooo smart and sweet. She is getting used to the routine and the lay of the land. Whenever a passing child walks, strolls, runs or rides by, Bijoux is sooo interested in playing with them.

This breed is amazing.

Thanks again for all your comments and I am learning how to upload pics this weekend--though she has changed so much already! Post 'em soon!!!!
