Took a look today at the ustream site for the Decorah Eagles. Mom and Dad are beginning to visit the nest! Won't be long before the show begins! :D

What 'things' do you mean? Babies??
The first egg was laid Feb. 23rd last year.

From what I can tell from the chat going on on ustream--Mom and Dad begin to visit and prepare the nest in Jan.--thought that would be interesting to watch too this year! :D

There is a video of mom eagle at the nest yesterday. Looked like she was cleaning up a bit!

Yes--the last two years there have been 3 eaglets to watch. Mom eagle lays the eggs in Feb. and they hatch around the first of April.

Once you start watching it is a little addictive-
Unusual warm weather may have brought them back early........thanks for the heads up. A little cleaning before the next round.
I bet even baby eagles are adorable. I will be checking them out.
Wow, they are back nest repairing already??

I've been watching them for years!

And if you friend them on FB, you can get the updates on last year's tagged baby D1 as they follow her location via her devise. Bob tracked her down and got pictures this weekend. :D :D

Thanks for the update...it is HORRIBLY addicting!! :excited:
Got it pinned as an app tab again, and I even remember my password :D :D
FWIW, I'm mnfan1 :D
From what I can tell--they turned the camera back on 2 days ago--

D1 was spotted over the Decorah Walmart today!

I saw that, very cool!
I'm glad they caught and tagged one of them. It looks like they are getting lots of data about where she goes.
I was surprised to see the night cam on 8O ...but happy!! :yay:

We are getting more and more bald eagles here. They used to just be in the Mississippi valley to the east, then in the Minnesota River valley about 10 miles away - and now they are out on the prairie by us, and nesting here too.
We had an adult and a juvenile follow us carting a couple weeks ago! 8) Guess we were the eagle entertainment!

After I looked today! I thought OH NO...a month earlier and I will be hooked! :D :D But I think it will be interesting to watch the preparations too! :yay:

There is a lake near us where several nest but there is nothing set up to really see anything. We went out last year and watched for a couple of hours as they came and went. They are stunning to watch when they soar! :hearts: :hearts:

It is cool that you are getting more eagles-- :D :D :D and that you are the 'eagle' entertainment!
