Dumb Question............

When I go shopping and I see an interesting item related to dogs, why is there nothing for Old English Sheepdogs? I get excited when I do see something cute, but there is every breed but the OES. WHY????????

Aggravating, isn't it? :headbang: It gets really tiring to see all kinds of items with Chihuahuas, Bichons and poodles but nothing with OES.

Anyone else noticed that not only are these things rarely available in stores but even the stuff on eBay recently is pretty crummy? The nice vintage collectibles are priced so high that they're out of most people's price range.

One good thing about the scarcity of OES items is the thrill of the hunt. Woo-Hoo! :yay:
It's not just OES.
It's hard to find Airedale stuff, too.

And when you really think about it, it's hard to find stuff for most of the breeds.

What are there, something like 155 recognized AKC breeds? And the best you can do is find stuff for what, 10, 20, or even 30 of the most popular breeds?

Agree! Love the hunt! :D :D :D
I fully understand lol.
They sell all breeds BUT the old english! I wanted a car sticker with `old english sheepdog on board` but they hadnt got one, so i just got one saying `scruffy dog oon board` :(
I also saw some cute ornament keyrings no oes :(

The only thing ive got sheepie is a coater and a statue thing :( They even sell things hungarian puli, i mean they are even rarer than oes right?!

I feel the same when i find cute dog things and theres no oes :P
It is aggravating especially knowing that sheepies and airedales rule  :wag:
I did find some cute things at wwwcafepress.com
The site let's you choose your breed and then prints it on shirts, mugs, stickers, etc. Also a section for your own creative genius
Subscribe and they frequently have percentages off 8)
Just checked that website and they do have alot of products!....thanks for the info!
Ebay has stuff too. Stuff carriers are playing the odds, they only make stuff for the most popular breeds. OES popularity continues to fall so no stuff.
on ebay it's helpful to set a saved search and get emails sent to you. you might be surprised at what you'll find this way. for your viewing pleasure;

Bingo.

Every year for the past 10 I've asked my favorite agility t-shirt vendor at my favorite (big) agility trial when they're going to have OES agility shirts. It's been a standing joke the last 9. Answer: when there's a big enough market to justify it.

Why do you think I work so hard to get you guys interested in doing agility with your OES???!!! (kidding 8) )

I do have a magnet on my car that says Agility Old English Sheepdogs Onboard. Think I got it at the International a number of years ago. Probably couldn't find another one if I tried now.

I agree, would love a bumper sticker and a few other things. My granddaughter did find me a few things for Christmas and I'm very happy with them but could always use more. I have a couple of sheepie figurines that were given to me in the 90's from a co-worker that had a sheepie and was as nuts about them as we are.
I made these for the Sheep-In attendees last September...

The Sheepie stickers, not the Stig sticker...

I'm sure I could make up some more. I could set an awfully affordable price of say $3.00 each, two for $5.00, mailed to the continental US. Those outside the states cover your postage and it's a done deal. I'll include a red bow for a girl Sheepie and a blue bow for a boy Sheepie.

I sent out like 16 but I didn't hear back from too many so I wasn't sure if everyone liked them or not. Either way, I'll offer them up here.
