Uses for a wheel of soft cheese? Camembert style?

I got a wheel of soft cheese for Christmas, and I have no idea what to do with it!

It is a local cheese, and says it's a Camembert style cheese.

Serving?

Use in recipes?

I use it in mashed potatoes-- substitute it for the milk or cream. Really good!

We also like it in grilled cheese sandwiches.

It's good baked too, but that is a bit "fancy" for John's taste.
box of crackers, cup of tea, and there'd be nothing left of it in my house. I just love the stuff!!!!
Mashed potatoes? Oh YUMMERS!

Mix with ham for a tart, mix with ham and eggs for quiche. My fav is to put it in puff pastry or phyllo (I prefer phyllo, easier for me) with apricot jam inside with it.

Mac and cheese, but don't use it all there, mix with another mild cheese so the gift cheese can flourish.

Of course baked until softish, slather onto crackers, toast, brioche, car bumper......oh my.

Just think soft cheese, taste it and then decide where it would fit in your menus.
I knew you guys would have ideas!

Like the potatoes, the omelet, also the phyllo's...I think I have some in the freezer, but no jam... :(

Todd thinks it's a bit on the strong, smelly and potent side, so he's ready to chuck it
OK...he said he wouldn't chuck it, he'd feed it to the dogs. 8)
Geez, you can chuck it this way, 8O

DH's BIL detested fancy food, lived in New Orleans so had access to good food, but he absolutely loved brie and camembert cheeses. So maybe it's like a broccoli thing, some missing taste bud or react strongly to certain chemicals.

All your pups are good and will surely love the treat, but save some for yourself!!
OK, time for an update!

I warmed some and spread it on wheat crackers...that was yummy!!

I added it into mashed potatoes...yep, another yummy!

Now for lunch I'm having a sandwich made from leftover roast beef (crockpotted) - I took some beef, a chopped slice of fresh onion, and a scoop of the cheese and warmed it. Made it on toasted wheat bread...yep, another yum!

:D :D
I'm absolutely positive Bond could find some uses for it!
