What a WILD christmas day!

Well we had a different christmas day, lets say a white christmas but with hot & Tropical Steam.

All went wild in the afternoon when a huge storm hit, hubbys car is hail damaged, mine and mums was in the garage :phew: and sons girlfriends car really damaged too. We spent the afternoon running around with towels to stop water coming in on the carpets and instead of Santa coming down the chimney we had towels there too. What a wild christmas day, always wanted a "White Christmas" but not this way   House survived we got off easy compared to the other end of the street, fences down, lots of damaged cars, broken roof tiles and 96 Ml's of rain in a short time with hail the size of golf balls caused KAOS.

OMG sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for. There will be no more talks of a snowy Christmas in Melbourne again. Geez! Sorry about all the damage..tg for insurance. I hope all gets put back to normal soon.
Not a white Christmas you'd want!! I've been in those hail storms, they are noisy and frightening. No word yet on your house roof! No sky lights? Intentional or unintentional. Sorry about the damage..........not a good holiday for you.
This is after my son left after the main storm and another wave hit as they were driving home on the freeway and caused more damage to his girl friends car, thank god they made it to undercover under the bridge across the freeway.

Excuse the language I would be letting words like that fly too under the circumstances.

I would be using the language too, not a fun day for any of you. Hope the damage can be taken care of and all are safe.
Well, ho, ho ho...glad you are all okay. Things can be replaced but glad you are all okay...are the sheepies okay too? Wishing you a nice quiet New years!
Sorry to hear about the bad weather you had. I had a new car destroyed by a bad hailstorm. Glad everyone is OK. Hope you have a peaceful New Year.
Oh no! I hope all the hail damage can be repaired and is covered by your insurance. Wishing you and your sheepies better weather!

Well we spent most of today, cleaning up around the house and the news just gets worse, tomorrow morning we have to go down to the long term storage facility to see if our furniture and all the stuff from our house is not damaged. Somehow I dont think we escaped the storage facility flooding. We have a ground floor storage unit and at the moment I cant face that today after the last 24 hours. :(

Piccy sent through of the storage facility and all the water. :(

I just hope more then anything my OES collectables and memorabilia survived :plead: The rest can be replaced if the worst did run through the locker. :(

On a side note and still makes me laugh, at the height of the storm yesterday, Syd plonked himself up high in the middle of our bed and there was not a hope in hell he was getting off, he headed for high ground till all the rain and hail stopped. At least we got christmas lunch over with when the heavens opened up.
Wow, that was quite a storm! 8O

Thank goodness you are all OK.
I hope your storage locker stuff was spared, although from the picture it doesn't look good. :plead: :plead:
Glad all of you are ok! Sorry you had to deal with all of that on Christmas!
How sad for you, especially on Christmas. I'm hoping that everything is okay in your storage :crossed: Just glad that you and the sheepies are okay, storms like that are so frightening and dangerous.
Unbelievable... :twitch: :twitch: :twitch:

Just glad everyone's OK at least. :phew:

We got an SMS from the storage place about 7.00 last night and went down. The sight we saw when we arrived was dreadfull, lots of people and tradies pumping out water, sweeping out debris and mud and trying to retrieve stuff in there storage lockers.

The building we have our locker in is at the back of the picture displayed. the front building got the lot, we went in and half the ground floor of the back building was flooded but on the otherside DRY. YAY our stuff is OK :yay: Best christmas present ever  :D

Hubby got a call from work, every car on the site is hail damaged and the roof of the offices and work shop collapsed. Good thing no one was at work when it happened.

Stress levels are down now and hoping to enjoy the rest of the week after our unusual and freaky christmas day :plead:

Insurance companies are going into melt down I am sure with all the damage caused to many on christmas day. I bet a lot wont pay due to technicalities in insurance policies  That's already started for some people and there insurance companies.
Oh my... thank goodness everyone is ok!! :phew: And I'm glad to hear your storage locker is dry. Yay for that news! I bet
it was difficult waiting to see how bad the damage was. There were such dramatic photos in the slide show. And I felt like I
was sitting in the backseat in the video wishing we could hurry up faster and get in that tunnel! Scary stuff that type of
destructive weather. :( Stay dry and safe!
I am happy that you are all safe and hopefully dry now!
Lisa, happy to hear you are all fine :clappurple:
WOW!! 8O 8O

So glad everyone was OK..

:ghug:
Yowza! SO glad everyone/everything of yours is okay! Hopefully you can enjoy the rest of your Christmas season!
Sorry for the late response! I hope you guys are doing OK now!
