artist of the year comp
i am entering the ykc artist of the year competition 2012 soon, the theme is `Dogs from around the world` so.. im going to draw an old english! I was searching through the internet to find ideas on how to draw an oes, does anyone know any links/websites that show you how to draw one? | Good luck with the contest!!! I too am an artist on a very different medium... As for who draw what you posted; I have to bet it was the man who hosts the sitenwhere you found it, Mike Sibley. He listed no credits and as he's an artist himself, I'd have to say it's his. And you're right; from the looks of the art all over his site, he's VERY talented! In his peice about drawing hair he mentions 'negative' space. This was one of the easiest things for me to understand yet had a lot of trouble going from my brain to the brush; it's pretty tough to master but oh the results are worth the time spent! According to his site, his newly built studio where he teaches is way up in THIRSK, near N. YORKSHIRE. I'm thinking that's quite a drive for you but may be worth the trip for one day spent talking to a talent like him. Again, good luck and please post some of your work. they are all amazing!! Thanks for sharing those  Im more of a cartoon person, i try to drw something realistic turns out like an animation picture! I am trying to teach myself to draw realistic things like a table or a money bank etc... But..my strong point is animation I have posted a thread in pictures of the entry i want to do...i dont really like them  |
| I used to draw quite a bit but I go through phases where I have to try different mediums. Right now I'm totally into nail art There really are so many talent ppl on this forum! Sheepie toes  |
