Is it a girl?

For the first time ever last week bloo had a top knot :P a little green bobble, i put it in perfect he shook his head and all his eyebrows fell out! (too short)
however i left it in..
We went to pets at home (pet store) and met this littleboy with mommy and daddy, and he said `arrr shes a pretty girl` i said he is a boy and he replied ` ooh (giggle) then pointed at his hair and said `why hegot that silly thing on his head for then?`
Aha i was laughing my head off, he was so cute :) Weve always said bloo looks like a little girl since birth haha ...
I really wanted to put a pic on here too but my camera isnt charged, as soon as it is i will upload one :P
I thought it was hilarious anyone else had that problem. People mistake boy dog for girl becasue of top knot haha.. :aww:

No, I haven't had anyone confuse my dogs being girl or boys because of top knots. My poor beautiful Aussie Shepherd Asia gets called a "boy" alot because she is big and black...she has also been confused with being a bear as well.
Maybe your boy needs another identifier when he goes out, get a boyish bandana and wrap around his neck. Now, nothing sissy.........
Georgi gets call a boy :excited: . Even that she has a pink lead  . I don't like walking her with the pink lead. I think I want to steal him as well as you only live down the road from me & I am from Bedford
People assume Chewie is a girl too a lot because of the topknot.
But there are just enough bright ones out there who comment "it's so he can see, right?" that I keep my sanity! :D
I've always had boys and am always asked if it's a boy or girl because of the top knot. I say boy and most reply with, oh it's so he can see. Even when I see another OES, unless they have a girly bow or something or unless they are shaved and you can see the "parts" , I ask, boy or girl?

Cindy
My guys wear top knots and occasionally people mistake them for girls. I think whether they had top knots or not many would make the mistake. My daughter's little Havanese doesn't wear a top knot and people often comment what a pretty 'girl'. We just take it in stride... and give them the correct gender and smile. :D
People ask if Nelson is a girl because of the topknot, too. :headbang:

Some of those people just have owned bitches themselves so are accustomed to saying "she". Don't think anything about it. We always have a good chuckle over it and it sometimes breaks the ice to talk further about the breed.
