Huffing and Puffing

What does it mean when my dogs are huffing and puffing after chewing on their bones? I give them bully sticks or marrow bones and they chew and chew and then are huffing and puffing and sooo tired once done? What is it about chewing a bone that gets them so tired????

They are so busy chewing they forget to stop and breathe?? :?:

I've never had a dog do that.
Do they chew them really fast?? Maybe Dawn is right-they forget to breathe??

I haven't had that experience either--mine have messy paws and faces after but aren't huffing and puffing--??
bloo has roasted knuckle bones and raw hinds and all sorts.. he huffs and puffs too, but after he has had a drink he is fine.. i put it down to the salt bones?
Maybe they are too busy chewing that they suddenly realise they need to breathe?? hehe.. :P
I think its alot of work to chew a bone and tiring...But always wondered if anyone else had this result..
