Hi!
Please read all about me before you decide you if you may or may not be capable of being my forever family.
Im looking for a new home because my uprights health is very poor and they cant take care of me like they used to. I'm a very happy boy - but it makes me sad to have to leave my mom. The very good thing is that I am so plum full of love that I have plenty of love to give to my new family.
I've always been a very good boy and would love you with all of my sheepdog heart.
In return - I dont ask for much -- just a good bum rub a few times a day, a gentle game of tug with my rope, a roll in the grass or snow, some treats and generous treat givers -- and an occasional toss of a ball so I can fetch it.
I like to go for car rides. And I'm a good boy at drive-thru windows. I especially like those that give out dog treats - or those that just like to say what a handsome boy I am. ...like to go for car rides. And I'm a good boy at drive-thru windows. I enjoy the dog park, but am just as happy staying at home in the yard with my family where I can chase a ball, a squirrel or rabbit or even falling leaves. woops.
I know several tricks like down -- shake -- wave -- and lick my lips. (haha! yes, it's true!) Im very polite and sit and wait for my meals until Im released with the okay command.
I sleep in my room (aka crate) at night; but if it thunders I like to come out to protect you. I live with 6 cats (such silly creatures). We touch noses and sometimes they let me lick them.
The only reason I sleep in a crate is because I live with cats who like to prowl around at night ... If I stay in my crate, they can prowl in peace. I do not chew things that do not belong to me and I, of course, house trained -- so I don't need to be in the crate if I don't live with a half dozen felines :)
Like my uprights, I have a little arthritis, but my supplements makes me feel and act like a puppy again. During evening hours when most uprights are reading or watching television and computing, I enjoy lying near them on my dog bed - enjoying a good chew bone. During the day I watch the house and look out the windows for my family to come home
I may be getting older in years, but really, none of us is getting any younger. And really, how can we judge who is and isn't worthy of love? If you'd give me a chance, I promise I'll show you that I'm worthy of every bit of love you give.
Hey! We're not getting any younger! So don't wait -- please fill out an adoption application .. xo
If no one told you -- you wouldn't know I'm a senior boy. After all, I'm an Old English Sheepdog
I'm looking for a foster home for the holidays. Preferably one that doesn't have LOTS of dogs - but I love other pets and do well with them so other pets are fine too!

A cat came up for me as well....so I just did a little looking and this handsome boy came up....hopefully its the one the guest was referring to!
Thanks I wasn't able to sign in to post this topic and it didn't come up correctly, so Oakley's mom "thanks" for correcting this for me!! It made me sad to read this...........

One of our favorite rescued/fostered and adopted dogs, Alphie ♥ is being returned to MOESR due to chronic illness in the family - Alphie's now lost his home not once - but now twice.
When he first came into rescue nearly 5 years ago, he grew into such a great, well- rounded boy we not only allowed him to be adopted quite a ways away, but to a home with multiple cats. What could have ended in disaster turned out to be an awesome fit -- until illness struck his family members.
Now he's not only 5 years older, but Alphie's found himself homeless again as well.
We are looking for a foster or permanent home for Alphie - a really nice dog. ♥
Please read more about Alphie in the attached link.
This dog (from the top listing is in Western Pa.), I have contacted the Humane Society by phone and spoke with a Barbara to find that SHE is being bombarded with applications for this OES. It certaily appears there will be no problem finding a forever home for Greta AGAIN THIS IS THE ONE DROPPED HERE BY A GUEST, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE OTHER "PETFINDER" ON HERE.
I TOO GOT A CAT THE FIRST TIME PETFINDER CAME UP, BUT LATER GOT THROUGH TO THE OES. :excited:
