Waterproof Jacket for your pup

The weather in NJ has mostly been awful the last few months. We have had lots of wet, soggy, weather....and snow!

I have never put my dog in a coat before, but, I am considering getting a rain-jacket type of coat for Dahlia. Since she is young, we spend a lot more time outside and she absolutely loves the wet weather.....and the mud!!!! :headbang: I doubt there is anything I can do about that, but, at least I can try and keep her back dry.

Does anyone have a jacket that they would recommend? Or, are people on my street going to laugh at me with a sheepdog in a rain-coat?

Seriously, I don't know if they will laugh or not, but Charm is ready for the wettest snowiest( :?: ) weather. 8) One of her Christmas gifts(or mine) is the outdoor overall from In the Company of Dogs catalog. I can't say whether it will be waterproof, but will certainly limit her exposure. The pelvic area is open for elimination, and the 24" size is large enough for (some) room to grow. Charm is 58 pounds. Particularly, the adjustable tabs customize the fit.

The item number is D11623 if the link is broken.

Haven't decided about the paws yet. Does Dahlia recommend any certain brand of boots?
I did see that one in the catalog. I have it sitting right here on my coffee table. My concern with Dahlia is she is very big. She is closer to 80lbs and very tall and only 11 months old...so she still has growing to do. Thank you for modeling it with Charm.

I also haven't picked our booties for her yet. I used to have booties for Lucy which were used on sled dogs in Alaska but, quite honestly, I had a hard time keeping them on her feet.....so, you can add booties to my list of things I need to purchase.
Yes, Miss Dahlia is much bigger than the 24" model, which is the largest. Drat, sorry. :(
Just when I think Miss Charm can't possibly get any cuter! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
don't get one too small :excited:
So we were thinking about getting something like this for Schubert to roll around in the snow

from Muttluks.com
If you want just a rain coat, we have the ones from Dr Fosters and Smith...called the Seattle Slicker and cheap, about 15 bucks. We have the extra large for bella ( 82 pounds) and the xxlarge for Bowie ( 110 pounds)...Easy to put on and off but limited coverage. Reall just for rain...

OMG!!! SOOOO FRIGGIN' CUTE!!!! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
