Teddy starting Agility class

We are going to start a puppy Agility class on Tuesday evening. It's a six week class and this is the 2nd week. We missed the first class because I was on afternoon shift. Sandy trains at this facility and really likes the trainer and has James in this class. I've always wanted to try Agility and this sounds like a good place to try this with Teddy.

The trainer Bev, said it shouldn't be a problem catching up from the first class which was working on targeting. I know I'll have to miss one more class because of my shift work, but that's okay. I'm excited to try this with Teddy! This should be fun! :yay:

very fun! I need to see what we have around us in NC. It's good to know if we
ever move back to IL that there is a lot going on dog-wise!

have a great time, both of you!
:cheer: yay Teddy :cheer: You and mommy will have so much fun. :D
Yay for you and Teddy..

We took an agility class when Frankie was young. I think that the reason now that we are starting over, he's not afraid of some of the equipment.

Have fun..

Oh have fun!!

I'm sure Teddy will be cool with it...after all , you've had him climbing on all those rocks and stuff since he was little. Good start for teamwork and trust. :D

Brenda - what's stopping you and Charm from getting out there too??? :lmt: 8) 8)
OH HOW FUN!!!!
Teddy will LOOOOOOOVE it~
Keep us posted on how your training classes go.
I can't wait to see Teddy go through the weave poles
Teddy did great in his first class. He went right through the tunnel, on the A Frame and the teeter which at this point is just laying on the ground but does move a little. I'm sure all our trips to Starved Rock climbing on rocks and uneven trails and wooden bridges was a good foundation for expecting new things and surfaces. We are working on teaching targeting for our homework.

There was a advance agility class going on in the next ring and that was getting Teddy all cranked up because watching those dogs running around kicks in his prey drive like crazy. I know this being the first class was all new and hopefully just like going to conformation class and dogs shows, he will soon learn this is all part of the distraction and focus more on what we are doing. I tried distracting him with treats and that worked but only for a few seconds. I'm sure part of his extra energy also came from not be exercised enough today. It was raining all day so we didn't go for a walk or run around the yard. Lots of pent up energy tonight. At least I'm hoping that was most of the issue tonight! 8O

I used to have to crate Simon and hang something of the front of the crate or stand in front of the crate to keep him from spazzing out. Fast forward several "years" later and he's much better....most of the time.
Go Teddy!!!
:clappurple: Yay Teddy.

Harry says you are going to love agility.
