Bentley got bored and it's all my fault!!

Bentley has been the best puppy ever and other than chewing the end of an umbrella and the leg off the drying rack he has been awesome!! This week I have been over whelmed with activities. My daughter is a senior, and hoping to major in music therapy. She is drum major of our marching band and we place 5th at Nationals at the Naval Academy on Saturday. It was very exciting and a lot of parental work leading up to it. I have been working everyday and haven't given Bentley the time that I normally do. Today he chewed the mouth piece off my daughter's saxophone and she has a jazz concert tomorrow. I will be running to the music store I suppose. I'm just thankful he didn't touch the clarinet, flute, piccolo or god forbid her 1932 Pedal Harp!! I'm thinking this was a warning to me. I'm going to be getting him out the door for long walks everyday before I have to leave. I work part time so I usually take him for long walks but we've just been crazy lately!!

Maybe its his way of saying she shouldn't practice so late. Maybe he doesn't like jazz. Maybe he tried to play it and the reed buzzing his lips set him off into a rage of unknown limits...

I'm just trying to help rationalize for you. It could have been worse; you can get a new mouth piece, right?

HA!! Made me laugh out loud!! They hate the sax. Makes them howl!! That is probably why he chewed it...
Oh no! I hope it wasn't an expensive one... 8O

My alto is from 1925 and it's the original mouthpiece...I would DIE!
But the bari has just a generic average one.....that one I could forsake...maybe even be glad for a chance to upgrade.... 8)
Sounds like our house. I have my flute too, and Todd plays tenor sax.

The harp - yep, that would be REALLY BAD :cow:
Yikes!!! Oh those weeks . . . it is crazy when they happen and you en up just dealing with the results, right?!! At least, as you said, it wasn't the harp!!!
Those times are when you wish you had a trustworthy teen living in the neighbourhood who wants to earn a few buck and can tire your dog out!
