Looking for the ideal home for her because I can't provide what she needs. She needs a low key home no children and not a lot going on & no other dogs she is fine with cats. She does fine at my sister in laws when we are on vacation because it is quiet there with no other dogs just a cat. Unfortunately my sister in law can't take her because she has grandchildren that visit regularly. She is on meds for fear anxiety because of a bad experience at a local veterinarian when she was 7 months old. She is a loving dog but is easily excited she is very fearful of strangers or new situations. I have taken her to Cornell to the animal behaviorist with some improvement although because of having other dogs in the household some of their suggestions we were not able to do. I would be willing to pay for an additional session at Cornell or another animal behaviorist so that you can learn what I did to help her. If I don't find the ideal situation for her I will keep her and continue working with her. | Dang, this is near me. I would take her but I have Brick and my nieces & nephews visit once in a while. That being said, I am available for home visits or transport help if needed. |
| Same with me. This is very nearby. In fact my Ginger (a shepherd mix, was adopted from a Finger Lakes animal shelter foster home and she has ALWAYS had very high anxiety issues. Afraid of her own shadow, etc.... Something in the water? ) Of course I have my OES Winston too. I'm no longer working so I too am available for transportation if needed. I hope we can find her a nice quiet home and loving owner to grow old with. Jacqui |
