Caitlyn takes Delaware!

After our little trip to Delaware for the match, Caitlyn walked, or should I say jumped away with a First place and a Best in Breed! She was having so much fun during our last run in the breed Class she was jumping and bounding with me instead of trotting like she was supposed to. As we rounded the last turn, I could hear folks right outside the ring laughing, clapping and one person saying 'there's a dog having fun!'. And I MUST concur.

Now the frosting on the cake. When we went back in the ring for Group, we were a group of six dogs and the judge made her decision. In the end, she points to me and said FIVE and thank you. She then pointed to the woman behind me and said six and before she could say any more, Caitlyn decided to show her displeasure and promptly tuned around and dropped big huge POO!!! I was left there doing everything I could to not bust up laughing. It truly hurt, not laughing. This was the first time I cleaned up poo without being mad...

By the end of the night, my cheeks hurt so much from all the smiling I had done since we pulled in the lot. We both had a blast and I can't wait for the next show. I can say that from Caitlyn's behavior throughout the night, she too had a blast. Every time she looked up at me, it was like she was saying 'Again Daddy? Can we go again'. Yes Caitlyn, again. We will go again!

Btw, there are no photos as Jen couldn't get the afternoon off as it is the end of month closing and thats a big deal for the accounting department. This was a Daddy/daughter date. She vowed to be the from now on though.

Very nice :D :roses: :D ...except the poop part!

So do you have a next match to attend in the works yet?
I don't know of any off the top of my head but I have my people looking...

Seriously, the next show that's coming up that she'll be eligible for is in December. We'll miss the big show in Columbus by a week because of Caitlyn's birthdate is a week later. She probably wouldn't be ready for that level of show so soon anyway. I seriously doubt I'd be ready for that! There are others in the works so we'll be looking at those.

Congrats to Miss Caitlyn!!! She's so cute that she can get away with her big poo displeasure!!! Glad you both are having fun!!!
Congratulations! And for the poop part...well,   She gave them a piece of her mind! But really, maybe her nerves got to her a bit? My dog always pooped in the obedience ring as his nerves got the best of him...Hope she was just giving them a piecie of her , well, a piece of her mind, and she wasn't overly nervous!

And I love that you took it all with a smile! Congrads to you!!!!
Great job Catilyn and Vance :clappurple: :clappurple: Looks like another star is born :cheer:
:cheer: :cheer: YAY CAITY!!!!!!! :cheer: :cheer: We are so proud of you!

Puppy running around will also activate that part of their system. Conformation classes with young puppies is always interesting that way ;-) Though given the timing I'm going with sharing a piece of her mind on the judging 8)

Nice job!!!! And love your attitude. Hers too

I just realized that I never posted the one photo that I have of Caitlyn from the big night. Here she is, hanging out in the Trooper after being brushed out with her new brush.

Funny story - we were walking around the vendors and I decided to look for a new pin brush. I went into the first tent and the floor was a mushing mix of grass and water, soon to be mud. So I picked up Caitlyn and carried her in. We found the brushes in a stack of wire bins. Oddly enough, the ones that I liked and wanted were face high to Caitlyn. I leaned in to try to grab one and couldn't so i jokingly told Caitlyn to grab one since her face was now IN the bin. She GRABBED one!!! So that's now her new brush. She picked out a great one too. We both really like it. The last two times I went to brush her out at home, she would walk up to the table, look at it and then at me and bark. Then she'd jump up with her front feet on the table, waiting for a boost. she's really beginning to like this grooming stuff.

Congratulations! I can't get over how fast she is growing.
