Faucet Attachment?

So Nanook is getting MASSIVE now, but he's still a puppy and gets filthy. I would love to be able to bathe him once a week, but it's a huge undertaking. Being (at least part) Newfoundland, all he wants to do is splash and play in the water, and the only place I can bathe him is the tub.

So I've been looking for some kind of attachment for the bath faucet or the shower head that would allow me to spray Nanook down a little easier. I've seen a lot, but I was wondering if anyone here had used a particular one and liked it/disliked it. Any advice?

And just because I know how much you love pictures, this is what you'll see if you leave the bathroom door open after you shower:

We just use the hand held shower heads. My favorite are those on the long pole that that then can be lifted off. Moen I think is ours. You do have an anti slip mat in the bottom so cutie can't slip. Only other suggestion is "pave" the bathroom in towels before to eliminate floor water damage. Plus when he gets out you have towels at your finger tips for drying off legs and undercarriage. The rest are used to wipe down the walls and ceiling for after one of his shakes.
Lots of places do "Groom your own dog" type things- bathing rooms with dog tubs, shampoos and conditioners, towels and dryers. I've seen them charge anywhere from $12 - $18 for the use of the space. That might be a good thing for you to look into.
We have a shower massager by water pik. It replaces the shower head and has a hose. We've liked them so much that we've replaced with the same updated version. We have hard water so periodically you have to take it and soak it in white vinegar or CLR to clear the calcium deposits. We bought one at Costco and it was less than $50.

 He's adorable!

I was going to put in a dedicated stainless steel dog tub with ramp, had it all picked out and ready to order. Then I thought, "Do I really want to be cleaning two tubs?" 8)

Below is my setup... it's very utilitarian but works well for us. The threaded pipe coming from the wall has a "Y" connection with a shutoff to both the shower head and the handheld sprayer so the water can be diverted either way. I have a Waterpik handheld sprayer... it doesn't shut off all the way at the handset but it reduces the flow to a trickle for when I'm soaping up the dog. Both handheld sprayer and water pressure play a big part because you need to thoroughly rinse these hairy dogs to remove all soap/conditioner. And I use a non-slip mat in the bottom of the tub during bathing and hang it to dry after.

The best flooring I've found is the TrafficMaster Allure vinyl "plank" flooring... it's been perfect for the bathroom. I do need to run a new bead of caulk in front of the tub... the dogs' nails tend to mess it up as they get in the tub.

We have one similar to Jaci's that we got at Lowes for also under $50. Great investment and makes cleaning the shower walls a lot easier too.

Here's the "Y" I use. (Nooo... I didn't take it all a part just to take a
picture! With 8 dogs it's wise to have a spare.) As mentioned,
it's a pretty easy and affordable way to go. :D

All the pieces were just screwed together using the white teflon
plumber's tape and snugged up with a wrench if anything leaked.
The hand held shower attachement from Lowe's is great for spraying down the dogs and for keeping the bathroom tub clean - especially if you glass doors! And if you want to take a shower without washing your hair. All in all, its a great investment for dogs and humans!

Your dog is very adorable by the way!
The waterpik that six girls posted is the same brand we have but ours is a little different style. Because of our hard water we've went through 3 different ones. The waterpik comes with an attachment that holds it up where the showerhead goes and it works as a shower head and then you just lift it out of the holder to use it to wash your dog.

Sixgirls is there an extra advantage to using the Y bracket, does it do something additional?

The uprights here prefer the other shower head so we have both.
