The only good thing I can think of about this sad looking pup is that he is at a no-kill shelter and they saved him from a puppy-mill down south.... I am sure he will find a wonderful home in NJ or NY!!

Where did he come from?
I hope he finds a great home wherever he lands :plead:
I'm going to give this shelter a ring later today when they open to see if they can tell me more about this boy....where he came from and his condition etc....

Then, I can add some info here, plus, I think it would be better if they say he is a OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOG, rather then just a sheep dog so that he will come up in the searches.
I called the shelter on this boy. He is 2 years old, healthy and very shy. He would do best in a home as an only dog or with a female. They would prefer to adopt him to a family that has an adult home at least part-time.

They just got him recently so they are not interested in rescue assistance at this time and will try and adopt him out directly to the right family.

He was a transfer from Best Friends and he is safe at this shelter.

I mis-spoke earlier about the puppy mill.... She couldn't tell me where it was located but, that he was a transfer.
Thank you for calling and checking on him :high5:
He looks under-weight to me. Hope they take that into cosideration. :wag:
I wrote the shelter an email last week just to touch base. He was still there and they are not in need of rescue's assistance as of now. I asked them to contact me should the situation change or if they can't adopt him out. They did ask that if we knew anyone looking, to please send them to the shelter. They have named him Bernie and they said he does need someone that can spend the time working with a puppy-mill pup since he was a breeder dog. Very sad. I know he is safe at the shelter and I am hoping there is a family soon to adopt him.
