How to tame the WILD WOMAN?

/Users/macuser/Desktop/Drunk Jazzy.jpg

When I lost my Goldendoodle Kramer in April, I just couldn't replace him. So, to fill the sadness and bring me some joy I found Jazzy a Sheepadoodle! Her colors, like the keys on a piano would obviously bring much needed music to my soul. And than some...

She bonded with me instantly. Filled my heart with much needed joy but we need to find a way to live together in peace!

OMG the energy she has is astounding! She just jumps on the kitchen counter with no effort -- just looks at it and land in middle of the counter. Today she scaled the fence and went for a walk in the neighborhood. What is disturbing to me is two weeks ago she was spayed. Prior to this we had FINALLY had two months of potty training without accident -- when she had accidents she went on my bed or the coach. With the cone and the stitches and the rain ... well she rediscovered the bed and coach. Now I'm washing laundry, load upon load.
:wag:
I LOVE her dearly she makes me laugh, she cuddles with me. We use the gentle leader, we do training (I could be more consistent with practice), we visit a doggy park almost every day where she runs her heart out and I have a back yard where she can run laps.

These are my goals, any additional suggestions to achieve these goals would be helpful:

1. No more accidents on the bed or coach -- go potty outside!
2. Stop getting into EVERYTHING in the house. (She got my shoes from on top of a high dresser 3 pair in one week -- 2 were brand new. Not to mention the toilet brush, my brush, my blush brush (she's into my make-up).
3. Stay off the kitchen counter! It is not your bed -- in fact go to your bed, love YOUR bed.
4. No more scaling the fence -- don't want you to get hit by a car, when Mommy chases you it is NOT FUNNY!
5. Stop biting my hands and nipping my ass! BOUNDARIES DARLING...

When will this puppy energy decrease, she is a WILD WOMAN! :wag:

ya know, when I first heard some people cross sheepies with poodles to make a "designer" dog, I thought OMG the energy that thing must have! Thank you for that.

Potty training is consistency, consistency, consistency and more consistency. Don't let her out of your sight. She hasn't earned the freedom.

Kitchen counter is a self reward system. Get up there, get yourself a treat or fun toy. Don't put anything on the counters.

Scaling the fence. Don't let her out in the yard unattended. My sheepie will scale a fence or open a gate if left outside by herself. Sheepies NEED to be with their people and if they aren't they will come find you. Put her on a leash.

Getting into everything, shes getting to much freedom, again. Crate train.

Nipping, you realized you got half a herding dog right? It will ALWAYS be there but with ALOT and I mean ALOT of persistance and training, it can stop. Shove a toy in your dog's mouth instead of it biting you.

You have a dog that has 2 different breeds, that have ALOT of energy, are incredibly smart and have even more puppy and adolescent energy. Expect more antics. Get your dog a trainer before she becomes too much for you to handle. Fyi, it sounds like she's not getting enough mental stimulation and shes the boss.

Also you do know that we can't see desktop pictures. That is just for your own personal computer.
Jazzy's recent peeing in the house might have a medical basis, not a behavioral one. You mentioned that she was recently spayed. It's possible that she has spay incontinence as a result of her surgery, which can usually be controlled with medication. Either that, or she may have a urinary tract infection. I would give the vet a call.

Moe is a 20 month sheepadoodle.I have been on this forum since he was 12 weeks old because he is so oes and forum has been very helpful. These dogs are VERY smart but the key is being consistant. Moe got into EVERYTHING..tp..four pairs of shoes..until about 11 months. The key is mental stimulation and exercise. If it is a rainy day and we miss our walk watch out!!We still struggle with drop it..if hes in the mood and wants to play..Moe will grab something he knows is banned( panties, shoes, paper bill) annd run around until we get the ball.treat or in VERY stern mom voice DROP IT..i try not to give in. I thought he would never..stop chasing cars..jumping on guests..etc..but if you are consistant with training they are so smart and eager to please they are the BEST dogs..I still want to rescue an OES but i have to convince my hubby that another big dog would not impose much more on his space(moe is 90lbs and sleeps on the bed)
