Change of Protocol- Book Club

Since this is our first Book Club attempt, I am finding it difficult to discuss the book in pieces. As Willsprite mentioned as well. I think for the future, we should all finish the book and then discuss it so everyone is on the same page...Thoughts?

We are completing The Search and I think the discussion would be very engaging at the end when everyone was completed..

We'll get this right. Just trying different methods until we do!

This is my first book club experience, so no input from me. I have enjoyed the segmental discussions as the questions can be more specific to chapters, and we get to meet more often. But whatever is decided is fine for me. I'm enjoying the club.
It may be just me but I'm finding it hard to discuss the book in sections. I finished reading the book before we started the discussion and I didn't want to "reveal" anything to those who hadn't reached that part of the book yet.

I'm looking forward to the discussion after everyone has finished the book!
Yep, I agree its better once everyone finishes the entire book. I also read ahead and find it difficult to discuss it in parts so not to give anything away...So, next book, finish and discuss...we can always make a post during the reading just not giving anything away :) :)
I enjoyed the book and enjoyed the discussions--which ever way we do it will be fine with me-

I have ordered the next book--have heard it is a great book-looking forward to it!

In the meantime--when ordering the next book--it sparked a memory of a sweet book I read back in the 70"s so I spent some time looking for it as I could not remember the name of the book and I FOUND IT! We may not want to use this as one of our book club readings but I thought I would share it with the 'readers' in the group as it is a really FUN book written from the perspective of an OLD ENGLISH SHEEPDOG.

The title is "The Intelligent Dogs Guide To People Owning" by Roland A. Brown ( I found it on Amazon) after Googling a million things! :cheer: :cheer:
