You people are KILLING ME!! David and I finally agreed to drop discussions about getting a puppy. I was happy living my quiet life, then BAM new puppy here, new puppy there. Magda at work shares stories of Mickey, I can't get away from sheepie puppies!!! I want one. I really really really want one. :plead:

Come on, wouldn't you rather have a nice, new kitchen?????
If it makes you feel any better, enjoy your quiet life. Yes, puppies are cute and adorable, but they are also a lot of damn work! :cow: You don't have to worry about when they leave the room and it's "too quiet". What are they doing and getting into or trying to chew up. Teddy's been pretty good but that's because he's under constant supervision. Just recently, I've started to trust him out of the crate when I'm gone for a few hours. So far so good, but I'm not ready to give him free rein for the entire day when I'm at work.

Then on the other hand, they are lots of cuddly fun. :hearts: I guess that comment didn't help much.

My advice is to enjoy other people's puppies and then go home and enjoy the quiet life with Mady. Did that help some I hope? :lmt:

Cindy
Caity thinks you should reconsider...

Vance
Mady's Mom, they're killing me too!

As much as I'd love a new kitchen, it wouldn't hold a candle to a new puppy.
It's probably going to get worse before it gets better! :D :D
I'd like a new puppy AND a new kitchen. In fact, I DESERVE both these things. Don't we all???

Adam put my talk of any more pets, puppies or cats, to bed by saying no more pets until I was well again. And then on Thursday my new doc says he's got me cured and I'll be fixed by next week. NOT what i was expecting!!!! Now, what to name my new puppy....

Adam will kill me if I bring a puppy home. He'll kill me for all of 5 minutes. 8) If this is really a cure and I'm really fixed? I give me 6 month before I break down and sneak a puppy in the house!!!
^^^^^ hahaha so true

We can't wait until Schubert grows up so we can get another puppy!!!!! hee hee hee

Note to Allison: Do NOT, repeat DO NOT combine new kitchen with new puppy. I love new puppies and I am probably the only person on the planet who actually enjoyed the process of getting a new kitchen and not just the planning and shopping part and then new kitchen itself. But combining the two experiences? Not so much. If you feel really, really tempted and Adam is feeling really, really tempted to give in, then just consider that your new puppy would be much safer in his/her new home if there is no renovation going on while s/he's getting used to a new home and family and going through teething on everything in sight.

But yes, you deserve both!

Name the pupper??????? I think you should start a new thread...

'Allison's Endo from the Bowels".......
And call him Endo!!!!!!!!!

A while back, I posted a video where my mother-in-law was heard saying that '...kids need puppies.' and since were all kids at heart, I think she meant that we ALL need puppies. So Kim, take my mother-in-law's advice and just go get a puppy. What harm is there in getting a puppy? Look at all the joy that comes with them.

Am I helping? I'm not really trying...
Vance
Kim

I agree with you. If I see one more adorable puppy on this forum, I don't know if I can stop myself. I have spent considerable time thinking if Ziggi would handle a puppy (she will be 11 in Dec.), would she be jealous, how would the puppy fit into our lifestyle?

STOP with the adorable puppies, your killing people you know. :headbang:

No point in resisting, sheepdogs are like potato chips, you can't stop at just one....
Oh Stacey, that's just cruel

I'll take two to go. :excited:
Resistance is futile...

Vance
Oh no... is this all my fault?

If it would make you feel better, I could post a picture of Buckley peeing on the carpet (he's still only 90% on house training...), or a picture of me in the morning after that night Buckley woke us up every hour, on the hour, to go outside (I was too tired to figure out he was totally manipulating us!).

On the other hand, puppies are really cute when they're sleeping, or when they're patiently sharing their water with a kitten:

Endo Is a perfect name for a sweet little girl!! (my lab/rott/shep girl before my first oes was named Endo)

You know you want a puppy!!! Just get one already :D

You folks are soooooooooooooooooo helpful!
Stacey, those photos are simply the meanest. :D :D

Who can resist?????? I can smell the puppy breath from here.

And Buckley is adorable.

Too much cuteness on this thread!!!!

(Avert your eyes, avert your eyes, avert your eyes......)

Laurie and Oscar
I wouldn't trade a minute of our time with Benson (well, maybe a minute here and there!). And now that she's allowed on the daybed, I suspect this will become a common pose:

Benson sat with her daddy watching "Fargo" last night, before crashing with us . . . on the daybed.

BUT . . . .

In all honesty, after years of having a houseful, we are really, really enjoying the time we can spend with our "only child." I love the puppy breath, and the antics, and even the late-night outings. But those days and nights pass so quickly, we're really enjoying having time with "just Benson."

So, Kim, what are you going to name the new puppy? :sidestep:
Oh this is just too cruel! I miss the puppy breath!
Kim so sorry for all the above. It will never stop. Hahahahaha
:P :P Bring it on, more puppies.

Stacey, OMG, your pictures are so adorable. I am remembering all those puppy moments and can't wait to start all over again!!!!! :excited:

Me and hubby are ready!!! I'm searching and hoping to make my wish come true. :crossed: :crossed: :crossed: :crossed: :crossed:
You asked for it Kim!

This forum boasts the biggest bunch of puppy enablers ever.
When the smokers ask for help they get help. Need to lose weight, help is here on this forum. Have a bit of a puppy addiction and do you get help? NO!!! You get puppies puppies and more puppies!
I do hope this helps!!!!!!!!

Kim you are sprung bad!
I know your secret mission is to keep bringing up puppies till David can't resist any more.

I'm with you! Our old boy died 8 weeks ago, and it's just killing me being without a sheepie. We've got a lot going on at the moment, building work just finished, and now landscaping to the front and rear gardens, plus 2 trips to fit in this year too, so we just can't have another sheepie yet. I would love a puppy, but we've decided we'll get another rescue, it worked out so well for us last time, but all these photos are weakening my resolve. STOP, STOP, STOP, oh alright then, keep posting so I can get my sheepie fix until we can welcome another in to our home :go:

My sympathies on the loss of your boy. It is probably a good thing that you are being kept so busy with building and landscaping. Your next sheepie will think that all that fancying up has been done for him/her! I hope we see pictures of your new sheepie, puppy or otherwise, in the future!

I'm very sorry for the loss of your boy. We lost our Cooper just a few weeks ago, know how you feel. It's sad. We are ready for a new puppy to love, give a happy home, train & watch him grow up to be a big boy. Good luck with trying for a new doggie.
