Lily and Hope (Minnesota) is anyone else out there following

Wanted to ask this for a while now....
Is anyone besides me following the saga of these bears in Minnesota? I've been following them since Jan 2010 when Hope was born.
It is a very interesting education about the lives of black bears, which I do have in the area I live in, (I have had my own encounters with bears in my yard to tell about).
This story of the bears has been up and down over the past year.

Just wondering?????

I'm not - my big addiction in web cams is the Decorah (IA) eagle web cam when they nest , lay eggs, hatch and then fledge. :D :D

However, my best friend Mary has been watching the bears all the time!
She tried to get me hooked, but every time I tuned in, nothing was happening or the camera was on the blink. :(
This is the first time I'm hearing about Lily and Hope, but it sounds fascinating! Does anyone have a link to the bearcam?

This is the link to the bear website.

Lily's story started with a den cam and birth of Hope live on camera. That's when I started following the bears. When they left the den, daily updates, videos and pictures kept us informed as to what their daily life was all about. What a great way to learn about black bears!

A lot has happened since Jan 2010, up and downs. The research team tracks other bears and reports on them too. This research was also followed and used in the classroom of many schools.

(However, my best friend Mary has been watching the bears all the time!) Dawn, would you mind telling your friend Mary that I said hi from one Lilypadder to another??
Thank you.
They have some fun videos on the site too!

So is the pond empty because Lucky broke the waterfall?

Yes, I will let her know - she'll be happy! :D :D
In fact I just saw her tonight, we both were at a potluck party for one of my nephews home on leave from the Air Force.

Thank you.
For those who are following it is a sad time, :( a very special research bear is missing and the worst is feared. It is hard for me at this time to follow the sadness (since I lost my beloved buddy recently) I still hang in there to support the research team. It means a lot to me for you to send my "hello" to your friend.

I am watching the news now - they are going to have an update tonight....wait - it's on now!

Hope is feared to have been shot by a hunter...Lily had been been seen frequenting a hunter's bait station. :(
I have been following the bears from Jan 2010. I gave it a rest while I was dealing with my sadness over Cooper, things seemed ok with the bears, (besides I couldn't concentrate on much of anything else at the time). Then I ventured onto the story again yesterday and more sadness. Some times I feel like I'm a glutton for punishment (so to say), but I guess I try to stay in for the long haul when the going gets tough, regardless?????
