Val never sleeps!
I am so missing being there. :( :( :( As they say the best laid plans of mice and men. My sister took a turn for the worse and my husbands best friends mother died Friday. They have been friends since they were kids and he was there for Dale when his mother died.
In the last 2 weeks we have also had our furnace go out and the refrigerater died and we had to buy a new one this week. All of our food was ruined.
I hope you are all having a wonderful time. :D :D :D :D
We will make it to the next one.

:headbang:
Sorry to hear about your troubles. You were sorely missed. If it helps, I have about 70 photos of the mayhem at the dog park. Not to make you feel worse, but everyone seemed to have their fair share of fun.

I'll be posting photos tonight.

Sorry you couldn't make it School Marm.
We had a really good time. It was so nice to meet everyone and their sheepies. Wish we could have spent more time.
Thanks Vance for welcoming everyone to your town.
I'll post pictures soon.

A big thanks to Vance for putting together the Sheep-in. The dogs had a great time!
Chuck loved the Bacon Explosion. Vance will have to post the recipe.
Also thanks to everyone who brought such great food for the sheepies and their people. Two people brought the most amazing OES shaped cookies.
Winston, Phoebe and Kippy all the loved their goody bags from Gertie and Erin.
Poor Phoebe, at age 10, overdid it running so much. Earlier this evening, she was having trouble getting up so I had to give her a rimadyl.
Ditto-ing the thanks to Vance & Jen, and Vance's photographer friend who was so kind to tolerate all of us. It took a lot of planning on your parts to put this together and hopefully it will become an annual event. :?: :?: :?: We really appreciate it!

You should have seen the looks on people's faces as they approached the dog park this morning. Thinking they could get in a quick run their poor pups were trampled by a thundering herd of gray & white (or black & white) hair! Luckily, everyone cooperated except MOESR rescue dog Maverick, (sorry again, Cindy & Teddy) and played nicely together. Nelson brought home enough mud on his feet to fill a few holes in the yard. :cow:

Next time we must beg for better weather! The Mum Festival turned out bright and sunny and had the dogs not been so tired we would have been ready for another round at the dog park.

Thanks again to everyone for traveling so far just to hang out with crazy sheepdog people. We had a fabulous time!!!! :wag:
Yup Schubert certainly had a blast! He loved meeting everyone today and learned a lot from all the bigger sheepies.
Thank you sooooooo much Vance and Jen!
We are so glad we drove through the rain to enjoy the sheep-in.

Actually, when I am in a strange bed that first night is always like this...

So, I sat outside the motel, not being able to find a cup of coffee ANYWHERE!!! Heart and I even walked to the gas station on Main and it was CLOSED!!!!!!!

So, to pass the time, I FINALLY set up my phone to receive my emails and tagged OES forum as a fav.

  Being soooo savvy about computers (and cells etc) it took me about 2 hours to get everthing right  and by that time, Jen, the night manager had made some hot fresh coffee~~What a lovely young women. We sat outside and had coffee while she told me about her working at night, has 2 children and a wild Cocker Spaniel ..AND she is going to school to be a therapist and she is planning on using PET therapy as the main focus of her work. SOOOO....sometimes there are reasons for what happens....AND I was so glad to meet her, spend time with her.

I am planning on writing a very nice letter to LaQuinta about Rudy AND Jen and the great. clean rooms!!! Also every one of the staff made us feel at home and loved all of the Sheepies!!!!!!!!!

GREAT CHOICE VANCE (and Jen)~!!
