Matties going to daycare

Tuesday Mattie is going to get a temperment test at our new doggie daycare. I have taken the day off of work, knowing that they will probably call me withing the hour.

My hopes with this is that I will get the opportunity to see what kind and size of dogs she might get along with. She's all snarky when another dog gets near her, but I don't think she really dislikes them. When we picked her up at the rescue she was in the house with 10 other dogs running around.

I hope it works out, then I wont always be so nervous.

Good luck! Tell Mattie to get a good night's sleep the night before to be at her best!
Good luck with Mattie.
Off lead in a group setting usually goes better than other types of meeting, so your odds are pretty good this will work. :crossed:

My Queen B - Maggie - does best on daycare with the small and calm dog group. She flat out gets annoyed with all the young crazy obnoxious ones. Maybe they can try this with Mattie.
I hope Mattie finds some new friends to play with!

Wishing you and Mattie good luck.
I hope it goes really well for her. I bet she'll do good.

We recently took Copper to a new place and it was so fun to get an evaluation and they said he was a "social butterfly", a very sweet and loving dog and he made new friends with TWO Old English Sheepdogs :yay: !

Fingers crossed that Mattie has a great time! :crossed:
Good luck!!
We sent our old boy Harry to doggy day care, and he got on fine. He and the other geriatrics sat around together chewing the fat, and no doubt shaking their heads and tutting at the antics of the young pups! He came home tired out and slept like a log. Although he only went one day a week for 6 weeks, there weren't any problems with other dogs, they seem to know what they can and can't get away with when they're in a different environment, so try not to worry.
Did we miss it? How did she do? :plead:
I think I did forget to post how she did.
She was there for about 3 hours. When I came to pick her up I had a seat in the waiting area. The door opens and out walks Mattie with a Great Dane. I said you have to be kidding me. She does very well with a dog that pays no attention to her. So she will never be placed with puppies or dogs that want to play. But they are willing to work with her. She did great yesterday at the Dayton gathering. She snarked at alot of dogs, but was fine around Heart and Andie.

We go back next week with Frankie. They want to see how she acts with him around.
