I'm so proud of my boys.

We went to St. Martins Fair today. Its not a fair in the traditional sense but a big flea market...among many others things. Its on a street(St. Martins) thats about a mile, give or take, long and lined on both sides with venders and then there are a few side streets that have venders.

Today was a very cool day...about 63 degrees so we decided we'd take the dogs. I must say that I thought it wasn't one of my best ideas but what the heck, we'll give it a try. I pictured two dogs pulling us along, jumping on people(Gar) and lifting their legs on merchandise.

What we got was two VERY well behaved dogs. They only pulled a little  were very well behaved around the tons of people who wanted to pet them, Gar only jumped on someone once, were very patient when we wanted to stop and look at something, ignored the other dogs who were there(after a leave it), just two well rounded GOOD dogs.

We answered tons of questions and met many who "hey we had one of those growing up". We had one person ask if we knew a male who his mom could breed her female to...the answer was "no"...back yard breeder. We met one person who we knew, John(Cody's Dad here) who also has a Polish Lowland Sheepdog(I think thats right) and his sheepie Cody. While we were talking to John another women came walking up and started loving on the dogs while telling us she just got a puppy. Dh wrote down all the info for the forum and gave it to her...hope she joins.

We spent a little money, talked to TONS of people, and had two VERY well behaved dogs.

I'm so proud of them. I think we can take them out to meet the public and not be apprehensive from now on.

Wow that sounds awesome!!!! Especially since they both behaved so well, double awesomeness! :cheer: :cheer:
Now that's a good day!!! I love walking around with our Sheepies and when they behave like you describe, it makes me wanna do it more.

Congrats on the good behavior. It sounds like everyone had a good time. :wag: :wag:
   Great!! Do more! Sheepies are very sociable when trained properly. The long walks will be good for all of you. (though with sheepies, people won't let you walk very far as you found out)
Very happy for you. I've been to the fair and it really is an interesting place.
