Teddy's new trick

I ran on the treadmill this morning instead of out in this heat and humidity. Teddy usually lays near the treadmill or plays with a toy. This morning he was playing with his puppy bone and came over to the front of the treadmill. He had it in his mouth and dropped it on the front of the treadmill. It rolled onto the belt while I'm running and shot off the back! 8O I had to be careful not to step on it while running. Now I know this was purely by accident, however, he must have thought it was pretty cool because he went and got another toy to try again! :cow: I yelled "NO" because I don't want to be dodging things when I'm running.

He is too smart for his own good! I took a short video to show you what he did. Silly puppy!

Not at all. He's just getting her ready for agility, where you sometimes have to have pretty fancy footwork to avoid stepping on things. Like large pieces of equipment, dropped tug toys, cow patties (the bad old days)....

Or darting sheepdogs     8)

Well, I didn't see him do it in the video, it was you! :rimshot:

Or sheep patties at my house
Speck the sheep keeps escaping, she prefers to be a yard sheep. Keeping all the windfall apples cleaned up IS a nice perk, however me needing to grab the pooper scooper and remove the sheep piles (loose and goopy from all the fruit) is rather essential before either of us works on the agility equipment! :twitch:

And for me a treadmill is dangerous - so a toy on it would indeed be a hazard...
I stick to terra firma :phew:
I LOVE this picture! :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

Oh lord, don't say that! The first thing that entered my mind when I had to dodge the bone on the belt was, if I fall face first on this belt it's going to leave a nasty burn on where ever I hit until it shuts off! 8O .....lol (I do wear the clip on my waist band for the auto shut off if I was to fall, god forbid!)

Haha! I can imagine when the lightbulb goes on in his head "hey this is a fun game! let's do it again!"
He is so adorable :hearts:
While it is adorable that he likes to do it maybe you can teach him "Not now" and "you have to WAIT", then you can let him do it when you get off.
