Taking a big step with Caitlyn
We're sending out all the paperwork tomorrow to make it official, so wish us luck! Caitlyn will be 6 mos in late November so we've got time to get her AND ourselves going in the right direction. Vance and Jen |

That's a great decision!  Shows are fun! As long as you don't take it too seriously. We've had so much fun and it's a nice way to meet other sheepielovers.. And the best part is when all the strangers come to tell you how wonderful and cute your dog is eventhough there are thousands of other dogs |

I always think that is so hard to pick Well, we originally had a name picked out but after getting the paperwork to send in to actually register her, we changed our collective mind. Since we're both pretty serious Beatles fans, we decided to pay homage to them and the alleged influence that a certain sheep dog had on three of their songs. We chose a line out of one song and hope that whoever owns the rights to the lyrics doesn't hunt us down for royalties. Caitlyn will remain her call name and her registered name is Ken-Bear's Windfield Head in a cloud. That's from the tune 'Fool on the Hill'. Vance |
| Congrats and good luck!! I doubt they will hunt you down for royalties, as a Brittany (the breed I grew up with - showing, field trials, etc) had a great dog out winning when I was in my teens, and he had the BEST name. He was the National Field Trial futurity winner, and other big wins, a Fld CH, name was plastered all over.... His registered name was "The Real Thing", and his call name was "Coke"...... I always loved the creativity of that name!! He was a great dog who lived up to his name, as he truly was "the real thing".  |
