2 months today

2 months ago today we had to say goodbye to our Pooh Bear. I still cry at the drop of a hat. Try to talk about him, but the tears just come. I miss him so much.
We are picking up a 1 year old OES named Angus on Saturday morning who needs a forever home. The arrangements happended so fast everyone involved is surprised. I'm excited, scared and worried about betraying my Pooh.

I can't imagine that you ever stop missing Pooh Bear. He was part of your family. I wish that I could find the words to convince you that you are not betraying him by finding another sheepie to love. You will love Angus in a different way. I bet Pooh Bear put Angus in your path on purpose!!
YOU ARE NOT BETRAYING POOH! You are crying a river now and taking a new dog into your heart acknowledging the hole left by Pooh. If he had meant little to you, you would not be looking at, let alone getting a new dog so quickly.

If anything Pooh Bear is helping you by sending this new dog to you to help dry your tears. He hates seeing you unhappy and wants the smile back on your face.

You will never stop crying. Paul and I have been weeping all day thinking about Glacier and all the dogs buried in our yard. He admitted he goes back to the "cemetery" and talks to them once in awhile. Pooh is always with you, honor his name by accepting a newbie and carry on the love you gave to him.

I really believe our furbabies at the Bridge are happy when we open our hearts to love others. Please do not feel like you are betraying Pooh, you are honoring him........ :ghug: :ghug: :ghug: :ghug:
I am so sorry for your loss of Pooh Bear and wish you happy memories and a peaceful heart. :ghug:

Everyone is different but Wayne and I have replaced our lost furkids quickly. I admit to feeling pangs of guilt but for us it is acknowleging the big hole that their loss has left in our hearts and lives and honouring the importance of having them in our lives.

All the best with Angus. He isn't a replacement but a recognition of the huge loss you suffered with Pooh Bears passing.
Your love for Pooh has shown you that you have a lot of love to give another. I think it's a great honor to the one that passed to take in another and give them as great a life as you did Pooh. You can never replace but you can love again.

When we lost 'Pache, I searched almost immediately for another oes, found a litter that had been born two days after we lost 'Pache, we figured that 'Pache had a hand in that.

That was also when we got Tripper, we found him in a pet store (I know the worst place in the world) but Carl had eyes for no other so he went home with us, kennel cough and all.

Now that we've lost Tripper I think we will stick with Butchy for now but you never know what might happen. We're getting older so that does play into our decisions.
I understand the tears and the loss. Remember, Pooh Bear is the one sending Angus to you because he needs your love . :hearts: :hearts: :hearts: :ghug: Hope to see some pictures of Angus soon!
POOH IS DOING ALL OF THIS SENDING U A NEW PUP TO LOVE
Your not betraying Pooh at all. I felt the same way about getting Teddy after Ben passed. Pooh has sent Angus to you to fill the hole left in your heart. He knows how much love Angus needs and you can give him.

We are all waiting and excited to see pictures of Angus! :hearts:

Thank you for all the kind words. :hearts: Pick up time is 8 am tomorrow morning. We are excited. Just want him to have a happy forever home!
Had a strange experience this morning. I was laying in bed about to get up and I felt Pooh's presence. I envisioned him licking my arm. I just experienced an odd sensation, it wasn't physical, but I could sense his tongue and the only was I can describe it, the lick was to my soul. I can't describe it any other way. I do believe he has been in contact around here. After we put him down, I just wanted some sort of message he was ok. A couple of days later I was packing up some things to go to the humane society of his and I turned my back and a box (a little bigger than a cigar box) came off the top of the refrigerator. This box had his dog tags, license, shot records, etc. It sat flat on top of the fridge with no way of falling off. It landed on the floor behind me. Just stood and looked at it. It has never fallen off the 12 years it sat up there.
Pooh is letting you know he is with you! :hearts: Have fun picking up your new baby Angus and know that Pooh approves!! :hearts: :hearts:
:hearts: I am so happy Angus will come to you!
He will bring joy back into your life - that's what Pooh wants.
