What age do they stop growing?

Asgard, our OES is 15 months old now but seems quite small for the breed...

I've read they stop growing at 9-11 months, is this right?

We recently had him neutered and the vet said he was a good weight so no worries there but I just wondered if he was maybe a 'runt' lol

He has a deviated nose and his jaw isn't quite in line so I thought maybe the size was related to his 'uniqueness' :D

Recent pic with wife who is 5' 4" or so...

Millie's breeder says that they will grow taller until 18 months and gain weight until about 24 months. Although some say theirs have put on more weight after two years old. Your breeder should know. Not sure how the neutering will affect his growth.

Millie just turned 12 months on 8/21/11 and she is 24" at the withers and 65lbs. She has not been spayed. Hope this helps. :)
I'm 5'4" as well, and he looks pretty similar to Chewie next to me. :D

Chewie's 23.5 inches at the withers and on the smaller side for a male. (But he is within standard and a show champion dog also :D )
Most important is if they are square and correctly proportioned, not that they are big.
And nice to see you waited until 15 months to neuter as well!
I must measure him to the withers when I can find a tape!

Without starting a pro/con to neuter conversation/argument (lol), we only got him done because he sent me to casualty!

Decided to lick and then bite my face out of jealousy when I kissed Jill before going to bed!!

He managed to bite through my face..not as bad as it sounds and he didn't have a clue what he did wrong so we decided to neuter hoping to lower his 'bite factor'

He's such a suck now lol...he always was a dote but now he's super sucky in the morning and when you walk by him in the house (rolls onto back looking stroked!)

He's still a total case and tries his luck with dominance sometimes but a firm 'no' usually puts him back in his place!! :excited:
My experience is that they do the bulk of their growing till 12 months but continue to fill out till they are 24 months old. Asterisk was 60lbs at one year but at three, she's 75 now. She's very lanky and has a lean figure. She's over 24 inches at the withers.

Wendel is more show quality. He's very square and has nice sturdy legs. He is also 75lbs at 5 years old, he's about 22 or 23 inches at the withers.

Levi is lanky and leggy like Asterisk. When he was a year, he was 65lbs and now at 18 months he's 75lbs. He'll probably top out at 80lbs, but he's pretty lean. Like Asterisk he's over 24 inches at the withers.
