Zoey and Caitlyn, playing chase!

Zoey loves to play chase and really hasn't since we lost Bentley. However, yesterday for some reason, she got her groove on. Caitlyn wasn't really sure what all this running around was all about, so she just watched for a bit. She did try to keep up though. When we first got Zoey, she found that she could fit under the deck to get away from Bentley. Bentley was too tall and couldn't pull it off. Yesterday, I found out that Zoey still fit.

One thing that kills me about how these two play, is how when Caitlyn make her move, she almost always turns her body to make sure that Zoey is facing her butt. It's funny as heck and can be seen at the 52 second make here. It's almost like she's mocking Zoey in some weird doggie way.

Around the 20 second mark, Zoey runs by Caitlyn and it looks like she bowls her over. She just kissed her and Caitlyn tumbles. The noise you hear is actually me reacting to the tumble. The first time I saw the video, I thought it was Caitlyn yelping but it was me being the overly-concerned parent...

That was so cute! Really nice yard for the dogs to play in.
Very cute! I love your big yard!
Very cute :D :D

Looks like they are learning to have a great time racing around. :clappurple:
Zoey tree anymore squirrels? As soon as I saw that tree I remembered her escapade.......and then her high pitched bark? Hope Miss C's bark stays lower.

It is so entertaining watching these guys play! Thanks for sharing.

Funny you should ask. Just yesterday morning she saw a squirrel on the garage roof and it jumped to the tree. So naturally Zoey had to stand guard at the tree for a while to make sure the beast didn't come down. This got her to look at the garage roof now. Later the same day, she went out on our deck and saw another squirrel on the roof. This time the squirrel was smart and stayed on the roof. When I realized what Zoey was barking at, I looked at the roof myself and only saw the head of the squirrel peering over the peak of the roof... it was like he was spying on Zoey but she'd already spotted it. Pretty funny.

Zoey has the same roll. We call it the bear strut. It's really obvious on Zoey with a full body of hair.

Yep. When I cut her down last week, I turned her loose in the back yard and it was a good ten minutes before I saw her standing still again. She loves to play chase and it looks like Caitlyn is learning it too.
