Anyone else have a pattern with their pets?

My husband & I seem to like black & white pets. It's not intentional, lol I actually didn't realize it until a few weeks ago when I was looking through some older pictures.

We have Jasper - who is black & white right now :)
Allie is black & white
Max (our great dane) was black & white
Daisy (our beagle) was black, white, & tan but mostly b&W
Sampson (my mini schnauzer) was black & silver
Our ferrets were black & creamy colored
Dakota (our german shepherd) was also black & silver.

I think the only non-b&w pet we've had is our cockatiel & he was gray & yellow. :)

I just thought it was weird all of our pets have pretty much been the same combination of colors, and we really didn't mean for it to work out that way.

Whew, that's a lot of pets in 6.5 years. :( 4 of them were brought into the marriage, and lived full lives. One climbed over our fence & ran away. The great dane had a heart defect that got pretty serious, so we had to put him to sleep. I give our cockatiel to my mom. I was a paranoid first time mom, he was molting, and I thought it might be bad for the baby. LOL I used to be WAAAY overprotective/overcautious. It's a wonder the bird was the only pet I gave away as bad as I was. :)

No, you are not the only one. :D My cat is silver and white but she is 13 years old and has lightened with age, just as JJ is getting lighter (from black to gray) as he gets older. I have always had cats (no dogs) and they were almost always black or white. I guess it's just like anything else, you go with what appeals to you.
I think I tend to gravitate twords animals with white bellies.
All of my animals (except the fish), including when I get an OES, are gray, or gray and white!

Karen :)
My boyfriend and I both used to be punk rock kids and now that we've gotten older, we've found we've turned into those aging hipsters that only wear black. Once in awhile I'll wear jeans but James is all black all the time. Ironically, all my pets have been WHITE-- which is always obvious on our clothes! Clyde is the first animal that actually had black on him. Everytime we go anywhere wth the dogs, people always comment on how we look all coordinated. There's something really neat about black and white together :)
We have two cats and one is solid grey, and the other grey and white. Remy is now grey and white.
I love the gray/white or black/white combos!! We had a black/white tuxedo cat named Sylvester when we first got married, and now we have a dark gray/white cat named Ruby who is 2 years old! I can't get over that color combo, we do have other pets, a blue parakeet, a gecko lizard, and my beloved cockatiel Coco, who died suddenly in February. And of course our Max, who is bi-colored!
Hi,

Ever since I was a kid my family had adopted the "unadoptables", cats with three legs, one ear, bulbous noses, and I even had one that had no sense of balance unbelievably- she hopped like a kangaroo and was famous in our neighborhood for 15 years.

The dogs weren't so beraggled looking but all had one thing in common. All shaggy coated dogs with big black noses. :D
