I noticed last night while brushing Bella she had two separate areas that looked like little crusty scales on her back and left rib cage region. At first I thought she had little mats but I got out the flash light and made sure I was down to the skin. She went swimming in the pond 6 wks ago and She was two weeks overdue for her monthly bath. I am not sure if she got skin irritation from the pond water or what. I hate to give her a full bath again and was debating about just washing the two areas with some chlorhexadine and rinsing. any thoughts??? |

Were the scales the same color as her skin or maybe brown?
Seems the color would make a difference to guess.
Recently I felt scaly junk and sure enough it was flea dirt,that is what I call it...LOL!
