CRUSTY

I noticed last night while brushing Bella she had two separate areas that looked like little crusty scales on her back and left rib cage region. At first I thought she had little mats but I got out the flash light and made sure I was down to the skin. She went swimming in the pond 6 wks ago and She was two weeks overdue for her monthly bath. I am not sure if she got skin irritation from the pond water or what. I hate to give her a full bath again and was debating about just washing the two areas with some chlorhexadine and rinsing. any thoughts???

Were the scales the same color as her skin or maybe brown?
Seems the color would make a difference to guess.
Recently I felt scaly junk and sure enough it was flea dirt, that is what I call it...LOL!
