"Sweet Life" Italian Ice Lemon Tiramisu 1 10.75oz Size Sara Lee frozen pound Cake thawed 1/3 cup lemonade frozen concentrate 3 tablespoons lemoncello liqueur(optional)~yes I used it! 1 cup mascarpone cheese, room temp soft 1/2 cup whipping cream 1/2 lemon curd(I increased to 2/3 for flavor) 1/3 cup marshmellow creme or fluff 1-2 tbsp lemon zest Lemon Zest and raspberries for Garnish 1. Cut cake into twelve 1/4 inch slices. Line the bottom of a 8x8 baking dish with six of the cake slices. 2. Combine the lemonade concentrate and liqueur, if desired, and brush half onto the six cake slices. 3. Place the marscapone cheese, cream, lemon curd, marshmellow creme and zest in bowl, beat until smooth. 4 Spread cake slices with half of lemon filling. Top with remaining six cake slices. Brush with syrup and spread with remaining cream filling. 5. Refrigerate for one hour to overnight. Garnish with additional zest and raspberries. It is so easy  but tastes very complicated  |

| Dawn, lemon curd is a British confection the consistency of lemon meringue pie filling. Very tart, very lemony, very delicious. At my grocery store it is with the jams and jellies. I buy Dickinson brand. It is really good on ginger cookies too! |

| ABS vs Tiramisu..hmmm. Just one bite will convince you that the abs aren't worth it. This is my first experience with lemon curd. I used the Dickinson's also. Thanks for tip about gingersnaps..I want to eat this lemony delight on everything!!!  |
*sigh* I guess I will never try this. Kim was reading this post and she gagged. Not because it doesn't look delicious, I'm sure it's amazing. It's the Limoncello, which is also delicious. But let's just say that in the past year, Limoncello went from HERO to ZERO in Kim's world. I'm sorry, I can't post the sordid details in a public forum.  |

I understand that. To this day, if I see a bottle of Four Roses my stomach turns. On occasion I have to leave b/4 there is a problem.  I do think I might try this recipe and the one for Margarita ice cream. Both are good adult healthy snacks. If they don't taste very good, I'll give to the dogs. JUST KIDDING!!!!!  Nancy |
