Link to Petfinder

Thought someone might be interested in this beautiful boy! Wish I were closer, I'd take him home with me!

Uncle Pete - are you still looking? How far is this from you?

What a face on this guy!
He really looks like he could be a great dog for someone.
If I didn't have a new puppy I would take him!

Hi Tammy. :D

Thanks for the info.

I'll email them and see what they say. I'm about a 10 hour drive one way to Windsor - just across from Detroit.

Dallas saw the picture :D and raised her paw (which I think probably means the same as thumbs up - OK dad).

Uncle Pete :D
Great! I hope it works out for you, Uncle Pete!! I'd love to see this guy in a good home. It's especially good news if Dallas has already given her approval!!
Keep us posted!
Im still available if you need a starting leg in a relay.

Im an hour away from chicago in NW Idiana and go to chicago quite often, going this weekend as a matter of fact lol
Uncle Pete- Got my fingers crossed for you! If I'm back downstate in time my offer stands, the tunnel is about an hour from me and meeting up with someone isn't a problem.

Holly
Good luck Uncle Pete !!!

Best Wishes !
Beautiful sheepie, great name

Zahra and Bogart
Hi :)

Thank you for the offer to help in the relay. I sent them an email and am waiting for a reply which could take up to 5 days.

Will keep you posted.

Uncle Pete :D
He's a beauty!!!! Good luck!!!
I'm about 10 minutes away from the border in Windsor (stateside), Uncle Pete. I'd be glad to lend a hand if I can too.

Jill
I'm in the NW burbs of Chicago so could easily do a leg of driving. Let's get Bogart to Uncle Pete!!!!

Paula O.
Good morning :D

I still haven't heard anything from them yet. They were having a meet and greet this weekend so its possible that they have been too busy and/or that Bogart has been adopted. I'm sure that I'll hear from them soon.

Thanks again for your offers.

Uncle Pete :D
Hi. :D

They never got back to me so while I was still looking, I found another OES named Winston and in less than 48 hours, they confirmed that I could adopt him,

Well I finally found a nice 13 month old male OES to adopt :D . He's located about 30 miles west of Philadelphia. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help in a relay to get him closer to the Canadian border. I live in Ottawa, Ontario and am only a few hours from the border.

I read in one of the posts that there is a picnic in that area on the 14th of May which I won't be able to attend. Unless I can have him transported before that weekend, it would be great if someone attending that picnic would be able to help out on their way back.

Here's a link to see him.

Thanks for your help and I hope that this works out. :)

Uncle Pete :D
How exciting, Uncle Pete!! :clappurple: Congratulations!!

If I lived anywhere between PA and ONT, I'd be glad to help. I'm sure there are others on the board who can and will be able to do so. They're a great bunch of people!!
Hi Uncle Pete aka Winston's NEW DAD :D

I'm so happy for you and Winston. When he gets home you have to post some pictures, he's not on Petfinders anymore because he has a NEW HOME :D I know the transport will work out. This is so exciting!

I also emailed them about Bogart, and still no response, so I'm going to give them a call today......I see he's still listed, so I'm curious if there have been any inquiries about him
Please let us know what you find. He looks like such a sweetheart!
well.....I finally got a response about Bogart, He is still there and I'm going to go check him out sat..... Uncle Pete, I had to fill out an application before i recieved a response about Bogart, but he's still there and waiting :D
Seems they are pretty swamped there
I hope you get him!! I want to see him in a good home!! Let us know what you find out when you see him on Saturday. :D
well, I went ahead and adopted Bogart!!! I didnt hear anything from anyone else, sooooooooo, he ended up coming home with me.

Now we have an issue to deal with, He doesnt like Tecumseh, at all, in the slightest little bit! The shelter said they put him in with the older puppies all the time and he did wonderful, the lady that fostered him for a couple days said he got along with her dogs great.......so why his aggression towards tuc??? 8O

Poor Tuc cant even walk into the same room that Bogart is in without Bogart lunging and growling and snapping at him

Other than that, he is an amazing animal, very loving, very clingy, walks great on a leash

but Tuc has to be my first concern, tuc barely moves now, slinking from one room to another, not like my boy at all, and this is only the second day, I call Tuc, and he refuses to move, wont even come to me anymore which breaks my heart cuz he is my boi! he goes every where with me, lays on the bed with me with his head out the window (his favorite spot) and now will just lay at the door whining wanting in but afraid to move, since we are planning on showing tuc, atleast in 4-H, will this make him afraid of other dogs, which he never has been before.....HELP!!!!!!
Thank you for adopting Bogart. You are an angel. I don't have any advice on the getting along with Tuc part since I don't have a dog. But maybe Bogart feels he's "second banana" and is trying to be #1 with you????

Paula O.
Congrats on Bogart! Hopefully Tuc and Bogart can work it out, maybe Tuc just needs to stand up to him one time. Hope it resolves itself quickly.
I'm so glad you got Bogart!! I'm very sorry to hear he's not getting along with Tuc, though. How did you introduce them? You might want to go back to the beginning and re-introduce them. It's almost always best to introduce the two on neutral territory. If possible, you can have someone assist you and take them, separately, to a neutral spot to be re-introduced. It doesn't have to be far - a park or somewhere Tuc doesn't consider "home". Hopefully, it will go better and they can play some together on this neutral ground - then transition back to home turf. Perhaps some of the others will have better suggestions. Hope it helps! I know it's difficult!
Thank you so much for all the advice, have been doing a little bit of everything everyone has suggested

Reintroduced them at the park, they actually played 8O
until we got home lol, but its not nearly as bad as in the beginning

tuc still wont come in the room to his favorite spot, but hopefully he'll get over that soon, but when we got to puppy class, he was his old dorky self again lol they had some agility equip. out, tuc did wonderful running thru the hurddles, and i mean thru, didnt jump a one of them lmao spent most of the time putting the rails back up for others to try lol :D that made me feel a lot better

Bogey really is an angel, an absolutely wonderful dog!! And when my son brings poor dunkn over, seems like tuc and bogey have the same agenda, who gets the moving squeaky toy first, lol so dunkn spends most of his visit sitting on someones lap or behind the couch, poor thing lol but he loves the personal attention so i dont think he's complaining

I still havent gotten the full story on Bogey, I know that he was chained up for most of his 3 short years, despite that he is very loving, and after about 30 min finally got him to grasp the concept of sit lol now we are working on him not jumping up on everyone he wants to greet :? one trick he does know.........opening up the window and jumping out of it :!: but usually just comes around to the front door
That's great! I'm glad things are getting better...and they will, you'll just have to give them time. I'm just thrilled Bogart has found a good home. Thank you for taking him! :D
just wanted to update bogey's progress, he sits beautifully now! we have also accomplished lay, and turn around, the jumping up on people has gotten a lot better also.....Tuc is getting more accustom to him being here, lol Tuc actually gets after him when he does jump up on people, I dont think tuc is quite as intimidated since bogey has been shaved down, they are really close in size now

unfortunately though, his mats were so bad, that he had to be shaved very very short, and i have found 3 large scars on the poor baby, one very big one across the top of his nose, so he gets a lot of extra hugs and rubs,

I'm very glad we decided to ride this out and see how it went....
I cant imagine our house without two big wonderful sheepies now...
lol and an occasional shih tzu hiding behind the couch :D
What a great story :D Give Bogart a big kiss from Daisy and extra treats from the boys.
YEAH!!!!!

Congrats on your new found success!! I'm sure there will be bigger and better things yet to come!
That's wonderful! I'm really glad you stuck it out and that they're adjusting to one another so well. Congratulations!!
LOL hmm wonder how long bogey is going to be on reserve for us??? :?
just found this kind of amusing lol
