Frankies getting his vision checked tomorrow

Ever since Frankie was a puppy all of our trainers have been concerned he has vision problems. I never really thought much about it before. Then with our new Treiball class started, Frankie wouldn't do something in class and the trainer asked me if he had a vision problem. He also runs into the occasional thing outside, which I have always thought was just an over zealous younger dog. I mentioned it to my vet a couple of weeks ago, and he mentioned that a vet in the practice does eye dialation. So tomorrow we are going to have that done just to see if he has anything going on with his vision. We got his hair cut really short today, so if he has any sight issues it's not because of his hair.

I'll keep everyone updated later tomorrow. Our appt is at 6:30.

Poor Frankie, he gets one thing taken care of and now he might have another problem. Hope they can do something if he does have eye problems.
Good luck Frankie !!!!!
Good luck at the eye doctor. I hope you get to the bottom of what's happening with Frankie. If he's having vision problems, it might explain why he growled at Troy and why his behavior lately has been different than usual.

Keep us posted on the Frankster.....

We are back from the vets office. We took him to our regular vet today. What she found was inconclusive with a dialation only. She does see something odd with his right eye. The blood vessels are different. There is a condition where a dog has thin blood vessels in his eye that makes them go blind just all of a sudden. But again it was inconclusive. She wants us to consider going to an opthomologist, and she also is suggestion having a BAER test done. Somtimes if there is a hearing problem that could cause some of the things he is going through. So I probably will start making calls tomorrow.
Both doctors actually come into Ann Arbor once a week.
I'll post when I know more.
Thanks for your thoughts for my little Frankfurter.
