Female OES- 6 Years Old w/ Shaggy Dog Rescue, Houston TX

Here's another dear one in Texas looking for a good home... she reminds me of Darby.
Looks like she had some boo-boos on her back at one point but the hair has grown back
nicely. Someone hoping to adopt, please give her a good home? :hearts:

Hm, don't know about CH bloodlines, and certainly not from a show breeder with that dock, but what a cutie.

Love the grin! 8)

Lady is being fostered by our forum member Michelle (forum name Lulu&Michelle), and her new pictures are really adorable. She is a petite girl - if any one wants more info on Lady, you could contact Michelle through the forum.
Yay! Thanks so much to Michelle! Thanks for letting us know, Raquel :D

I saw in one picture it looks like she's on the couch or chair. :aww:
I had included the pictures from Petfinder... this one is so much nicer.
She was all tidied up :hearts: I can't post it here because it's huge!

Much better!

I looked at the other pics and my thought was that between the bad cut and photo angle they were trying for a win in "the ugliest dog" contest!! 8O 8)

Hey! I did say she looks a lot like Darby!!
Probably the haircut! 8)

Darby's got an improper dock too. With hers,
there was too much skin left so it jiggles when
she runs.
No, those pictures looked nothing like Darby!!

They may be under the hair, but those pictures were highly unflattering. :plead:

I wanted to get at that hair between her eyes!
Goodness, someone really fixed her up pretty! :aww:
Here is a better shot of what she looks like today:

Yes!!
She's a fuzzy faced pixie. :aww:
Gasp she looks so much like my previous girl Shaggy. I am totally in love and wish I had room. Thanks so much for stepping up and fostering her and to all those that were involved in her rescue. Lets hope she finds the perfect forever home.

Thanks Raquel for filling eveyone in on Lady. I'm in nursing school and don't get on the forum as much as I would like too. Lady is a great dog and might be going to a new home soon. They are coming to meet her tomorrow. If all goes well, she will be going to a home with another OES and lots of room to run and play.

My Mom does a lot of fostering (currently she has 5 dogs and a one week old puppy) for Houston Shaggy Dog Rescue and when she told me an OES was coming in -- I couldn't resist. So my Mom and I picked her up on Saturday and brought her home to meet my gang and give her a much needed bath and trimmed her head up to match her shaved body. She needs to gain a few pounds and so far is having no problem gobbling up all of her food. She was an owner turn in, not sure of the reason.

She is going back to the vet tomorrow to be checked over again, I think she might have a UTI or maybe a little incontinence problem (I think she has had several litters even though the owner swears she hasn't) or it could be that she is just not potty trained. Good news is that with a little patience, maybe some meds and lots of love, Lady will make some family very happy! Here are a few pictures that I took of her. She's not crazy about the camera flash.

Michelle
The incontinence, if that's what it is, typically comes from spaying, not litters. Not that she couldn't have had one or more of the latter for that matter. The vet who spayed her could probably tell.

Are you the one who gave her the final make over? She looks great!!!!

Fingers crossed for her.

Kristine
Thanks, I am the one that trimmed her up. She was just spayed so maybe that is it but I'm leaning more towards the not being potty trained. Last night she had quite a few accidents in the house but today while I was at school, she didn't have any accidents. When I got home, we all went outside and she had a nice long pee. The others have been just little puddles. Just to be sure, she is going to get checked over again.

Overall she is a very good dog and just wants to be loved. She has slept in my bed for the 3 nights and doesn't move the whole night. She is learning the good life at my house.

Michelle
She looks great Michelle. Thank you for helping her,she sounds like she is going to make a family very happy.
