Sewing Machine
I just got a reward from a game, free S/H and half price, Singer..... Is it worth getting? I do have a new singer but it is embroadry. please any comments............................................ Thanks Deana I do love to sew.  |

| Jealous! That you a) have time to sew and b) have the chance at a new machine. My sewing machine (sadly neglected) is just a basic Kenmore. What I do like about it is that it is pretty sturdy, with little to go wrong. I haven't even looked at new machines for a long time because I just can't find time to sew anymore. Singer used to have very good reputation as reliable machine. |
| Can't tell if it is worth it nor not unless you tell us what the model number is, what the price to your door is, and most importantly.... If this is legitimate or not! Is this price too good to be true? Is this a large, well known company you are dealing with? Are they requiring payment up front and requesting it by any other means than a credit card? |
| HSN has a contest, yes they are reliable, no shipping charges, only state tax due and I have checked it is less than half price. Singer has a good reputatioon, and I have been dealing with them for 5 years. |
| My mother has a 4 thread Singer Serger and loves it. It is 5 years old. The downsides are threading the machine, buying so many spools of thread ($$$$$) and getting the tension balanced. We buy her lots of thread for her birthday and holidays. Her machine machine is a Bernina, so she is pretty critical on how the machine functions. |
