WHEN AND HOW DID YOU GET THIS INFORMATION.........................THE PICK - UP WAS NOT THAT URGENT........
I PICKED UP WINSLOW LAST NIGHT, I MET THE OWNER 1/2 WAY. WINSLOW IS NOW IN MY CARE AND GOOD HANDS.
HE IS HEALTHY, BUT IN NEED OF REAL GROOMING. HE IS MATTED AND HAS BEEN NEGLECTED ABOUT GETTING TO THE VET.

PLEASE PM ME........MIKE
Mike,

Thanks for the update. I just got off the phone with my wife getting her approval to help out if needed. If you need anything from the West side of Ohio, transport or short-term housing if you end up finding a more permanent home this way, let me know.

Vance
Mike, that is great news and I am happy that this pup is in safe hands! He is posted on Petfinder! It was just posted there today. I just copied and pasted it right from Petfinder. I didn't make any of the wording up.... You might want to ask them to remove him since he is now in your safe care.

Have a look for yourself....
In case the posting gets taken down soon -
I did follow the link and the wording is exactly as noted. :?

Glad he's in better hands, he looks in need of some TLC.
Mike, the rescue group that posted it probably has no idea the dog has been adopted so, you could email them and let them know that he is safe now.
If the former owner has not alerted them they have no way of knowing

How is he doing??
:clappurple: Whew, thats a relief! :clappurple:
I never did post here that Winslow (in just 10 days) was found a permanent home in Columbus, Ohio with a couple of playmates in the house. According to updated info he is doing wonderful, he is happy and seems to love it. His shots and grooming were all updated, and he is a content three year old............... Happy Beginnings
:clappurple: Yay, another happy story.
It just seems unreal that a dog that has so much dominance issues to go to the gassing chamber can turn out to be such a good dog and live as a happy member of a pack at another home. :lmt:
This story brought me to tears. My Patty had some adjustment issues when we first got her, the trainer I first called, the one everyone in town recommended, said I had to put Patty down, since she had shown aggression towards ppl. We have now had her a month, and after "I" learned what to do when she was naughty she has been very well behaved and incredibly sweet. We found a new trainer who is incredible and deals with dogs who have behaviorial issues and we are doing very well in class. The new trainer told me that the other trainer tells anyone with a dog who has dominance/aggression issues that they should put the dogs down! UGH, I'm so grateful to this group for offering guidance and support to me when I first got Patty before I found a better trainer!!
:clappurple: Just to reply to this..................Winslow was with me for the 10 days......... the only reason he was a little aggressive was the way he was mistreated. I say mistreated because OES's, must have some time devoted to them, and when you do spend time with them, they become aclimated to the situation quickly... In most all occasions it's the human that doesn't act correctly when this occurs.
It was the case here, with my crystal ball, well really just getting to know Winslow, he was a wonderful dog. The very first night of bringing him home he jumped up in bed and slept all night. He needed to go out about 5 a.m. and let out a little bark to wake me and take him out. He came in and went right back to bed. The very first morning together he had kisses and snuggles. The previous owner told me that Winslow never slept in there bed or even in there bedroom. There were many other things the previous owner told me that weren't correct.
Winslow was not taken to a vet since he was 8 months, and he was now 3 1/2.
Winslow was matted beyond what any long hair dog should be and that was because he was left outside and forgotten. So in an attempt to improve his condition he demonstrated how he could be aggressive towards those rare occasions of someone caring.
Now in his new permanent home he has seen a vet, been groomed, and living with 2 other dogs for playmates..........all is happy with the wonderful people he is with. IT's a great ending..................... :) :o :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:

To a Long, Wonderful Life Winslow :wag:
If a dog must go through life by detouring through a rescue, this how it should be. Good to hear a happy update.

Vance
:clappurple: Wonderful update Mike! Thanks so much for caring, taking care of him, and loving him. You are a gem!
Awesome and thank you for helping Winslow! :clappurple:
Sounds like his new home is exactly what he needed! :hearts:
