Harry and the popcorn hat

Like mom, like dog....... a tale of two popcorn addicts

I LOVE popcorn!!!! Tim always says I will eat popcorn no matter how bad it is, like at the ballpark. My childhood friend and I skip dinner when we meet at the movies just to have more popcorn. My boys tease me about my popcorn. So you can imagine how excited I was when we were at Disneyland and I saw Popcorn Mickey Ears.
:excited: :excited: :excited:
I just had to have that hat!!!

After our visit that day I removed the ears so that it would be just a popcorn hat that I could share with my popcorn pal.....

Harry LOVES popcorn!!!! Tim always laughs at how concerned he gets when we microwave popcorn and no one stays in the kitchen to watch it. He likes to go to Ace Hardware just to eat popcorn off the floor around the machine and anywhere he can find it in the store. The treats at the counter are nice too but, oh that popcorn is the best! If there is a kettle corn stand on a weekend at the Farmer's Market he will eat all the popcorn off the ground while we stand in line. Val even brought him popcorn back from the Sheepiepalooza hotel because she knows he likes it and Yvonne was nice enough to feed it to him. Last weekend and today I saved him some of my movie popcorn because he loves it so much.

Here he is proudly wearing the popcorn hat

and patiently waiting for pictures to be done so he can eat popcorn

Well, I'm glad you took the ears off of it. Mice and popcorn - bad combination! 8O

It is a very cute popcorn hat 8)
Lovely hat!! Popcorn is a big part of the food pyramid......isn't it?
Oh I love your Popcorn Pal. My hubby is with you when it comes to popcorn, he eats it everyday and so do the girls right along side him. They wouldn't know what to do with themselves if they didn't eat popcorn with daddy before bed. :santa:

Loved your pics! :hearts:

It's the food plate now - just unveiled this week!
http://abcnews.go.com/Health/food-pyram ... d=13743137
Yeah, I saw that "plate" and I think the protein size is still too big as well was the grain. I'd prefer to see veggie more than 25%...maybe closer to 40% so folks get the idea.

so glad popcorn covers two groups: grain and dairy!! (butter) Add nuts for protein.....still working on the veggie and fruit to make it a complete meal! Maybe green and red M&M's!
Gah, I wish I had known that popcorn was safe for dogs to eat. Mady was drooling over it at the hotel. Now I feel guilty for not sharing. As for Harry, he looks good enough to eat in that hat!! He should be in commercials. Send that picture to Orville Redenbacher!
It's not very obvious, but the veggie and grain section are bigger than 25% - and the protein and fruit are the smaller sections. At 1st glance it does look like they are equal one-fourth portions...... :?
Love Harry's popcorn hat! We are popcorn lovers here too! Both Boys LOVE IT!
:clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple: :clappurple:

LOVE it!!!!!! :aww:

susan,
i likey the way you think.
my youngest was in nyc for her bday and brought me back an m&m assortment that is filled with brilliant colors. every night, i chuckle lookin at it, no not yet, too pretty.

i remember the 1st time a dog bugged me for popcorn, i thought wth? :cow:
they all since have been popcorn lovers. 8)
Love the popcorn boy he's so cute I could eat him! :D

I read about the food plate and laughed. My grandma had a saying about eating to stay healthy. She said you had to eat a proper breakfast which meant oats (in some form) and milk and then you had to eat a proper "square" meal which meant 3 different colors of vege and a protein of your choice. She believed fruit was a given because that was a tasty dessert which in her experience no one said no to.

I laughed and told Wayne that nothings really new anymore just recycled ideas.
nutrition plate: yes, I noticed the changes but I wonder how many other people will. They will see nearly 25% over all. That's why I think there should be a major size differenc, so people can see it. But if people start to realize a steak slopping over the sides of the plate isn't going to fit the nutrition plate, then maybe it will work.

Laughing about the roosters. I had no problem eating them before they became problems.

Popcorn here always causes doggies to drool. Everyone had learned how to catch items tossed to them by way of popcorn. Develops their eye/mouth coordination

To this day if I ask, "What do you want for dinner?" odds are good it's going to be "popcorn!" He can dream..........
That is the awesomest thing ever!!
AAAAHHHHH it is one of those unbelievably heart warming fuzzy thing.... I don't even know what to say!
Love the popcorn hat! :clappurple:
What a cutie!

Cindy and Teddy
Popcorn covers 2 of the 4 food groups: fat and salt (because you must put butter on the popcorn). My favorite treat is made on top of the stove popcorn with real butter melted on top, followed by a candy bar (side note: this is why I need to lose 30 pounds). I'm glad there are so many other popcorn addicts in this world!
Harry looks so handsome in his hat! :hearts:
So the real funny bit about Harry is... Judi asked us at Sheepiepalooza if we though Harry was more wild in person (in dog?) than he was on the forums. Of course he's more wild in person (in dog?)!!!!!!!!! Harry on the forums is always this amazingly handsome gentleman who behaves perfectly in these amazing poses his mom puts him in. In person (in dog?) he IS a wild man!!! Still incredibly handsome (and yes, still very well behaved despite what Judi thinks :P )

Yes, he looks incredibly handsome (and well-behaved!) in his popcorn hat! :hearts: :hearts:

Absolutely the 2 most important of the food groups. Yum, although I prefer crisps to popcorn, more fat and more salt!

What forum are you reading David? :lmt:

There are many stories on THIS forum of his unruly behavior. You REALLY do wear blinders and he is not even your dog. LOL

On the other hand I was mighty impressed that you got a picture of him waiting patiently for me to release him for his agility that day of the hotel.

It makes my heart melt to think there is hope for my boy yet. Of course he is only six I mean what is the hurry to be well behaved.

Hey Val, we can really have some fun with David at the next Sheepiepalooza. He is not only confused as to which one is Heart and which one is Harry but he is under the impression that Harry is well behaved.
Harumph!
