For the people who are not big on hiking, but still want to get out and do something, how 'bout a visit to the AKC Museum of the Dog????

http://museumofthedog.org/about_us.html

There is a $5.00 admission charge, and well behaved dogs are welcome to visit too!!!!!

If there is enough people who want to do this, then we can meet at about 10 and walk through.

Anyone interested???????????????????? Please respond..... :D :D

:wag: Sounds like fun!!! Count us in! :wag:
Charlie and Ted's dad got itchy when I mentioned the word museum... But I think it sounds fun. I checked out the web site when Heart (I think it was Heart, a few months back?) was dog of the week. Can you tell me more of what is in the museum?
Count me in.
Great response so far!!!! Thank you!!

Shel, the link in my first post will take you on a tour of the museum. It is a very interesting history of dogs and the jobs they did. They have a special section on war dogs and sled dogs..As well as some really neat paintings!!
I heard about the sled dog exhibit......bet they don't have a sheep dog in them...maybe we should "donate" a picture to the museum??!

Yes you can hike AND do the dog museum.

The hikers will just have to meet a little earlier.

YOU ARE SOOOO FUNNY!!!!

I'm bringing my squirt bottle along to hopefully keep the "talking" to a minimum.

I guess I'll have to sleep when I get home.

When sleep deprived I always tell myself--"you can eat when you're old and sleep when you're dead" let's just get on with it!! :D :D
